How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Was unable to change the temperature of the fridge which was on a warm setting and numerous items had to be thrown away.
How central it was to both Mollymook and Ulladulla. The facilities within the property were great.

Only missing a coffee machine but good excuse to wander to the cafes near by.
Very welcoming with well stocked crockery and glassware and all cleaning products provided. Great outdoor space with gas bbq and generous selection of beach and children’s equipment.

For 3 women, all trying to do hair & makeup for a night out, there was only one mirror that was near a power point to plug a hair dryer. The full length mirror inside the wardrobe was nowhere near a powerpoint.
After a 3 day coastal hike it was a comfortable place to relax.

Bed linen smelt funny, as if it wasn't dried properly, did not feel fresh

Location, cleanliness of the property, and quiet. This place was fantastic. We had everything we needed, and super close to the beach. You could also walk to the local golf club for a family friendly dinner which was delicious. The place is spacious and had plenty of room for our family. They had a spacious backyard and loved the beach play toys that we could use too. Highly recommend staying here.

We liked that the place had everything that we needed and it was very close to the beach. The bottle of wine and the lollies for the kids made it very welcoming. Thank you for making our stay comfortable, fun and memorable. We will definately come back.

The only thing I would change is it would have really nice to have a fan for the main bedroom as the air-conditioning did reach up there. And cotton bed linen as the synthetic made it really hot and sweetie.
The house very spacious, lovley decor, very well equipped. We loved it.

Nothing - we felt well catered for during our stay.
Beautiful beach house, great location, all amenities well thought out. The decor is inviting and relaxing - the house looks better than the pics on the website. The kitchen was kitted out very well, and there were plenty of thoughtful items kept for guests - games for kids, badminton set and golf clubs in the garage, and Netflix on TV. Would definitely recommend staying at Fairway Haven if you're down in Mollymook. Perfect for families.

Nothing not to like accept hair dryer not working.
Spacious Villa was well equiped with everything you could want and more. Lockup garage. Conveniently located in quite area near beach and Golf Club. Comfortable bed. High speed Internet. Complementary bottle of wine.

nothing everything was perfect .
The Villa was amazing had every thing we needed and so clean and fresh , kitchen was equip with everything you needed and much more The complimentary bottle of wine on arrive was great . our son loved the Wii and all the extras that were supplied including surf boards , snorkeling gear and more . walking distance to beach and cafes and golf club defiantly be back .

Air conditioner was quiet which was great but felt it didn't warm up the room enough even on a higher temperature.
Excellent location, near the golf course, Mollymook Beach and golf club. Villa was very clean and felt 'homely' with all the added 'bibs and bobs' around the place.

Quite cold in winter, one heater to warm all rooms. Lots of reviews mentioned the traffic, you can hear the traffic occasionally but it isn’t super noticeable or annoying.
Lovely accomodation, lots of little extras added by the owners to make it personal and enjoyable. We didn’t use the backyard but it was a great size and would be a great to use in good weather. Comfy beds too. Very close to the beach, kids loved using extra beach toys provided by owners.
