Communication with the property was very poor and frustrating. Property owner/manager is unresponsive by phone or email prior to arrival and responds by text only after arrival. Online booking page should advise that it is self check in and that you have to find your room/cabin by yourself. Booked this place to kayak on the river for my partners birthday but got stuck down the river with an old broken paddle that couldn't be used. 3pm check in doesn't give you much time to enjoy the place if you're staying only 1 night. Studio balcony sliding door was also broken.

Place clearly isn't maintained quite as well as it likely once was, with hedges grown much larger than in pictures and general cleanliness in the property not great, with mouldy patches in some cutlery drawers, and the communal area quite dirty. Think it's on the market, which would explain things. No major issues overall though, and we still had a great time.

Location and site was great generally, and pool was super, good value for money overall with amazing views. Kids loved it.

Communication with the owner before travelling was light. But when we realised we had no hot water the owner was straight back to us and had this resolved the next day. Other reviews mentioned cobwebs, spiders and mosquitos. We had these too … but given the country setting, I think it’s hard to criticise the property for that! And all was resolved with a bit of insect spray.

I was a little nervous about this stay after reading recent reviews about lack of cleanliness and owner issues BUT, for us - cabin 1 was clean, tidy and comfortable. The grounds were well kept and the pool was wonderful! Didn’t use the open kitchen or deck but loved the appeal of this. A really beautiful country setting complete with cows, horses and chickens! Property was full but we didn’t hear other occupants when we were indoors and the availability of a laundry with washer and dryer was also a great help (travelling for kids sport).

The ceiling in our loft was very low and my poor partner kept bumping his head on the metal bars that run across. Even I had to duck to walk into the bathroom. So don’t recommend if you’re tall or claustrophobic!

More communication with owners and the little things like tissues on hand, more toilet paper provided for the number of days we were there and decent coffee cups would have been appreciated. On the list of available items it said pool towels provided but none were so it was lucky we’d taken some with us.

The location was excellent and the grandkids loved the countryside. Spacious yard for Oztag practice before competing in State Cup, Coffs Harbour. Cows, chickens, native wildlife were a bonus as well as the salt water pool to relax and unwind in after exploring Coffs Harbour and surrounding areas. Close to Bellingen where there was an IGA and a variety of restaurants and takeaway shops if you were in need of groceries or didn’t want to cook. Excellent BBQ area overlooking pool and the surrounding countryside.
