Great historical place to stay, if you want something quirky for a night.

There wasn't any free WIFI, or at least if there was, there were no instructions or passwords to get access to it.

Location is great, fire engine is amazing! It was interesting to have the internal bell do two little dings when the police car went by in lights and sirens - it's almost like the heart of the building was still in tune with local emergencies.

If you need to work and don’t want to sit in the courtyard, not the best option.

Lovely room that makes the best of its size. Great bathroom and outdoor courtyard. Love the styling. Close to great restaurants. Secure parking appreciated.

The coffee bags were OK but a proper espresso coffee machine would have welcomed.

The upstairs penthouse had plenty of character and history. It was fully equipped and we could have cooked a feast or breakfast on the outside patio but decided to enjoy the excellent range of cuisine and bars all within walking distance. We didn’t use the large spa bath or second bedroom which could have suited another couple or 2-3 kids.

Where else can your 7yo daughter have her nap in a vintage fire truck? Where else can her brothers compete and try to shimmy to the ceiling on the pole?

Parking (got a fine). Instant coffee.

Fabulous b&b for kids who love fire engines! A coffee machine would have been a very much appreciated addition, and probably worthwhile given that the property is marketed as luxury accommodation.
