Very steep,narrow stairs to loft. Could be difficult if you were unaware. Bathroom tiny in our room, you wouldn't want to be bigger than average or you couldn't access shower/ toilet. Wake to train line.

Private, serene setting. Nice place for time out relaxation or a game of pool. Delicious country continental breakfast in conservatory. Warm, comfortable room.

Very pretty stay, interesting history, spacious rooms, excellent shower, cosy room, very nice gardens, Continental breakfast was above expectations. Would like a longer stay there.

The bed in room 11 was a little firm for our liking but that is subjective.

Good location with a easy walk into Mittagong. Fascinating history and love the self guided tour of the house and grounds. Nice to have the continental breakfast included and the coffee machine makes a cafe quality coffee. A short walk to the Mittagong Caravan park which is a bus pick up point for "A Day on the Green"

We needed to leave early.so thought we would have breakfast which was offered from7am. Went to the conservatory at 7.20am but nobody was there and no breakfast available. We left.without having any breakfast and bought something along the highway. This was dissapointing for us.

Not being able to find the 100 yr old Rose. Thought there might be a sign or a plaque.

We liked the comfy bed covers, the hot shower, the continental breakfast and walking around discovering the Historic gardens and playing Quoits. Also being on the grounds of the first Tennis court in Australia.

The one problem is the in room tv was not working properly. The screen was half broken where you could see some colour but sometimes it flashed with some lines. Also suggest to put some Chester drawer underneath the tv as I accidentally bumped my head to the bottom corner while I tried to pick up something that I dropped under the tv

Musty smell in the original building emanating from the basement. Not too noticeable apart from a slight damp smell in our friends room.

Fantastic piece of history. Lots of common space to enjoy - lovely lounge rooms with open fireplaces. We stayed in the newer accommodation building which was very clean, spacious and appointed. We did the self guided history tour of the place which was interesting.

The tv kept turning itself off and back on approximately every 15 minutes.

Upon arrival was met with abusive attitude because I was unable to answer his 2 phone calls and apparently he wanted to shut office at 5pm (we arrived at5.05pm and stated on booking reservation we would arrive between 5-6). aggressive behaviour towards customers should not be acceptable

Lovely clean historical home . Lots to see and a lot of information on the history of the Inn . I enjoyed all the background details and stories of the previous licensee. A great place to visit if you are a history buff.

A train line is very nearby, so if you are a light sleeper a set of earplugs might be worthwhile. O

Spacious and lovely fitted out room in historic old home. Beautiful decor throughout the premises with nice spaces for reading, conversing or admiring the gardens. Self serve breakfast in dining area with many continental options available.

Checked in just after 2pm and no staff on-site but received a call and email from lovely lady with check in details that were quick and easy.

Gorgeous property. Very clean. Comfortable room with lovely furnishings. Good breakfast with selection of breads, cereal, fruits and juices. Very quiet location. Definitely staying again

Only one thing, that I did not sleep the two nights we were there, due to the bed and pillows too firm. Most of the others slept fine.

The breakfast was very good lots to choose from and the coffee/hot chocolate machine was wonderful. The rooms were clean and very generous in size. The pool table occupied the children and adults. The fire was popular with the family as well. The history of the building was very interesting. John and the staff made us feel very welcome.

Great to be able to walk around the garden and explore the history of the building. We appreciated the upgrade to a ground floor room and being able to stay here with our dog. Mittagong is a lovely town and we would stop here again.

This is very minor , but it would have been great to have an onsite restaurant, however this wasn’t really an issue as there were multiple options within a 10 minute drive .

Great position , well maintained, very clean , beautiful property , friendly staff… loved sitting on the verandah with a glass of wine before going out to dinner.
