    Damp, dark room

I hated the original room I booked…probably the cheapest …?? Musty and dark. Fortunately we were able to upgrade, expensive but made our stay worthwhile

The room was very dark and very dated unfortunately. 2 lights were not working in the bathroom. Just felt a little unkempt unfortunately. Not a relaxing room. Felt like we didn't want to be in the room at all.

The resort is a bit oldish but overall fine. The only thing that bothered me was oldish pillows. The pool bar seems a bit understaffed but nothing dramatic we got our drinks. I would have preferred a buffet breakfast but again the breakfast was ok.

The location is great, easy to go to from Cairns. The snorkeling and Nudey beach were wonderful. We had a cabin and enjoyed a lot the patio in front of it. Saw lots ok cuckatoos just outside. We had breakfast and dinner at Zephyr restaurant, the staff were nice and helpful, the dishes ok, some better than others.

Room was poorly lit, 3 of 6 main light bulbs had blown. Room is only serviced every three days so the towels provided were inadequate as they had no way of drying (swimming and hiking require multiple showers per day so the towels were being used repeatedly) Walkways on upper levels of accommodation (we stayed on the 3rd floor) were very undulating, causing several trips.

    Great location

Nudey Beach may be pretty, but it's mostly broken coral, not sand. A bit pricey.

Very comfortable, quiet room, close to resort facilities. Restaurant food was good.

Cocktails were terrible , food and drinks over priced , beach cabin outdated , bathroom just gets flooded as the shower lets so much water out , no where to put ur shampoo and stuff in the shower ! Needs a gym , sauna Games room ! Stuff to do when its raining. Staff need training on customer service , half the time they were chatting and not serving or they had no idea what was going on.

Requirements to have 2 or 3 course at the restaurants seems just like a money maker. Sometimes I’m hungry, sometimes I’m thirsty. Rest assured you’re going to make some adequate money off of my stay. I’d rather not waste food and have some choice, rather than being force fed or just not being able to finish 2 courses. The room was never serviced in our stay. Fine, but leave a broom and dustpan as beach side cabins get full of sand and so do our sheets. Happy to do some minor housekeeping but leave some tools. When we did ask for washcloths and a broom we were given hand towels and no broom. The bathroom was pretty gross and needed a good clean, especially in the corners and behind the toilet. Other guests hairs, not from their heads, were on the toilet and on the floor. Staff was great, but just VERY disorganised. Never seemed to be a manager around. Just the same overworked staff everyday of our stay. They were all really lovely though. Not their fault. They were doing their best

Excellent location. Villas were adequate. Beautiful beach

The cost of the food was definitely greedy, and not very good, $12 for one piece of toast at breakfast is ridiculous. ADVICE! Take your own food .

Room was good, bathrooms where not very clean and maintenance is definitely in need , I bit off money put towards the upgrade and care of the rooms would go along way, but overall it was fine . The reef was a bit damaged but once again overall a great place to visit .

The "general store" is laughable. There are no food options, just tee shirts, toothpaste, and trinkets. Campers, be advised. Beyond water-based activities, the few walks are very challenging. This is a destination for the fit, young, and able bodied. If it rains, be prepared to relearn card games.

Staff, snorkelling, catering (was OK, but not more than that).

Run down and dirty. Our room was grubby and needed a really decent clean. The fridge had mould on the seals, the shower was not clean, the marble was dull. The pool area needed a serious clean.

Fitzroy Island is one of the most precious places on Earth, with stunning reef snorkelling and beautiful rainforest walks. The resort, although a little weathered, was a great base for our family to explore the island for a week. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we had all that we needed. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Under staffed. Main restaurant hit and big miss with menu. Apartments need a decent clean. All the marble needed polishing and silicon replacing. Walkways dangerous. Foxys furniture is poxy. This was a once was 5 star resort. This place has amazing potential if it wasn’t left to get rundown. Apartments are still stylish and high end, they have just not been maintained to a high standard.

Amazing location. Great pool and pizza/pool bar. Plenty to do on the island.

While the beach cabins were perfectly located and comfortable, the attention to detail was lacking. There was no water provided. Some of the plates and bowls were chipped. Our beach cabin, supposedly refurbished has torn curtains broken curtain rail and sheer curtains were not hung properly and had totally come off the rails as rail ends were broken. The door had torn fly nets. There were no curtains in the smaller bedroom ..it only had sheers. The cupboard shelves were sagging and had splintered edges. The room lacked a small table/ dining or writing desk. The tour desk was not manned and no sign was put up to advise that we must go to reception to ask The swim-up pool bar lacked the vibe and the drink options advertised were not available. There were no condiments, sauces or salt/pepper shakers in the poolside eating area which meant if we wanted any embellishments to the otherwise bland pizzas and we asked the wait staff, we were told they are not available ... Not even a tobasco! There was not enough shade in the pool area and almost all deck chairs used to get reserved with no other options. The coral was a fair bit bleached and dying which is not the resort facilities' fault but it definitely put a dampner on what we were hoping to see. The vegan options for dining out were very limited. We would have really liked some walk/hike options and trail guides.

The location, views, friendly staff. Restaurant staff Fernanda, the reception staff Kylan and Ariel and the turtle centre staff Taylor were really lovely.
