How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Noisy on Saturday night (busy with cars/car doors slamming). Noisy fridge. (Sunday night was much quieter thank goodness.)
Easy book in at arrival. 24 hours office/reception. Clean room. Comfortable beds. Handy onsite restaurant.

Bit noisy, getting too pricey, No room service or takeaways nearby
Clean, comfortable accommodation. Free bus to and from airport was added bonus didn't have opportunity to have breakfast.

There was a lot of noise outside my room in the area outside the property. My room was at the end of the property, close to a street and residential area. Something was going on somewhere,
Very clean room. Although the room was on the smaller side I was only there for one night and I did not spend much time there other than for sleeping. Upon check-in the reception person noted that I paid too much through the booking service and I should book directly through the site website. I will do this as I will be in Perth again soon.

Pool was closed the majority of the days we were there for maintenance which was annoying. Rooms a bit tiny for a group!
Rooms were clean, 24 hour front desk. Had a kitchen equipped with all you need in unit which was perfect. Lots of parking!

There were no power points near the bed for me to use my CPAP machine. I had to use an extension cord which was across the room to access closest power output.
There were laundry facilities and restaurant on site.

Dirty marks on the one chair in the room was slightly off putting.
The room was perfect for a one night stay for one. Comfortable and with a good shower. The ability to get ice from an ice machine in the lobby was a plus. Good amount of parking spaces.

Room location for us was disappointing, stairs for a 96 year old and my wife with a disability, restaurant prices bit steep for a budget style accommodation,
Shuttle courtesy bus to airport was a added bonus, driver excellent, reception staff were helpful, location was good, room was ok, bit small for 3 adults,

Noisey rooms, could clearly hear conversations next room, 8am Sunday hammering on door or room next door. We had a superior garden terrace room...which was neither.

No toaster in the room. No option to use netflix
The airport shuttle bus was great. The driver was very friendly and helpful with my heavy bag, even carried it to my room as there is no elevator for the upstairs rooms. All staff were friendly.

The staff upon arrival were friendly & courteous, our room was clean. We ate in, therefore used room service - exception value for money, staff member superb. Breakfast in the morning was on time and hot. Loved our stay, will again no doubt.

No Bar, very rough parking area, room was worn and dated.
Room was comfortable enough but the restaurant was average, the staff however were friendly. The advertising suggests that alcohol was available, however, it is BYO only and we were directed to a nearby hotel with a bottle shop for our wine purchases. Being on Grt Eastern highway there was the inevitable traffic noise but not loud enough to keep us awake.

Instructions for the internet didn't work, had to call to the office, but that was about it.
Easy check in, local to the airport in a way, was reasonably priced. The bed was amazing, the bathroom rather dated, but for it, it was clean. Plenty of parking, and a quiet location.

The staff behind the counter we very nice but failed to advise that the restaurant was closed.8
The restaurant was closed, but we did not know until we attempted to go in. The next day, we tried againWe were told by the front desk that it opens at 11 am..........wrong. However, they allowed us to order over the phone and the food was good.
