Whilst we enjoyed our stay, we think the property is in need of some TLC and basic maintenance. Most windows don’t open/stuck, even though there are fly screens. There was no one on site to ask questions of or give local attractions advice. Portable hot-plates have no instructions, so couldn’t use. No shower curtain so water soaks floor. No washing machine. No fly spray for bugs. Room was not serviced (3 nights) - ok with us but just be aware. Having said that, we had a lovely, relaxing stay overall.

We enjoyed our stay at Giants Table, it was very peaceful. Maydena is a lovely area for walking. Roomy unit (for 2). Comfortable bed, with electric blankets. Platypus ponds out back - sighted a couple in the right side pond at dusk. Comfortable lounge area. Nice towels and toiletries. Good microwave and toaster oven. Lots of crockery and cutlery (at least for 2 people). Bar fridge. TV. Tea & coffee provisions.

Giants Table is centrally located for many of the sights, like Mount Field NP and Styx River conservation area. The cottage was very comfortable, great bed and bathroom and good wi fi connection. A bonus was seeing the platypus in the back garden. Quiet and lots of birds. Can thoroughly recommend.

Wifi wasnt working at all within the house. We chose this place instead of staying at Russell Falls coz it said wifi is available but the owner included a note in the house to mention wifi is only available if you went out to the lobby deck.. Be cautioned. Master bed was comfy, but the common room with two single beds were terrible. The beds sank and provided no support at all. Kitchen didn't provide any aluminium foil (to use the oven with), would be good it if minimal essentials like salt and pepper are provided for cooking especially when the restaurant was closed.

Nice living room space and good size for master, close to Mt Fields, ample parking available. Large bathroom.

We had to call to confirm our villa number. It wasn't indicated clearly in the confirmation email. However, we were able to sort it out quickly with a phone call. They were very responsive.

Love the service of the caretaker. We came in with dirty kitchenware, but he very quickly helped us to clean and change a fresh clean set. The heating lights were blown and he replaced it for us immediately without complains. The rooms and toilet were very clean. It was a very pleasant stay as we had bbq for dinner and breakfast, caretaker even helped us with setting up the pit in the morning. It was a memorable stay for my family and I.

Booked this place because it had a restaurant on site. Two days before arrival was notified that the restaurant would not be open and had to source food products from limited sources in a short period of time. We did not starve but was looking forward to eating someone elses cooking.

Big house, choice of beds, well appointed kitchen, fireplace with sufficient dry wood for a toasty fire. Great for large family or groups of friends. Beautiful surrounds.

We weren't advised that the laundry of our cottage was used by the whole complex - including for the host to make a cuppa whille working in the vicinity. The spa bath used a heap of water and tehn the pumps didn't work

Loved the platypuses in the garden ponds. And the hosts friendly conversations by the fire in the bar.
