Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWe arrived decked out with food for 3 days/ hiking gear/ essentials and because the parking is white a distance from the apartments we had to do 4 journeys - the esky was heavy!!! I did see Jenny the day I left and asked could I take my car through a back way - which wasn’t a problem… so if you have packed a lot maybe ask the question. There are no blinds on the bedroom windows so you can’t sleep in ever… which is kinda the point of getting away. It did detract from that relaxed feeling. The WiFi coverage is really poor - which is great on one hand but I needed to work one night of my stay and left a day early as it wasn’t enough for me to connect to work. You need insect repellent… and a TV downstairs would have been better for us… we’re friends away and you could only lay in bed to watch it … awesome though for a romantic weekend!
The property is Beautiful, apartment is gorgeous, tranquil, private even though you are right next door to each other, bathrooms are totally sexy, close to everything you might need and it had pretty much everything you needed…

AustraliaA few things seemed to cheapen the experience, not having a TV in the room seems like a really basic thing not to provide. The handle for the cold water in the shower would come out really easily, they provided shampoo/conditioner/bodywash which is nice but in big bottles that you can tell have been sitting there a while so it was off putting. Also some things were overlooked when cleaning, the doors were quite dirty and there was a long hair on our bed (when we had only just got in the room so wasn't ours).
The location and setting were great, a quick drive into Margaret River and just off Caves Rd. Beautifully kept gardens and main homestead was clean and tastefully decorated.

AustraliaParking is not good. If you arrive home at night you have to park down the hill on wet grass and if you have an ailment and disability you’re not going to be making it up to the Homestead.
Extremely disappointed to find we had a room with a bathroom. We expected a large room with kitchen and spa bathroom. The advert is very misleading when you’re expecting this and then find you’ve been booked into the Homestead. Although comfortable it wasn’t good enough for my second honeymoon. I purchased the Epsom salt and that was a waste of time. I wouldn’t stay there again but I will close in saying that the caretaker lady was absolutely amazing person in every way, she was lovely.

AustraliaThe shower was very temperamental, and the whole bathroom was wet after showering (the shower curtain is a bit too short for the shower). Because the bathroom was always so wet, it was difficult to dry towels etc so we ended up using our own towels as well. The king bed was just two king singles next to each other which meant we had to sleep on separate sides of the bed - it wasn’t a major issue but a king mattress would have been better.
Beautiful house and decor. Great shared spaces within the homestead including a lounge room stocked up with board games and a fire! The host was very friendly and accommodating, let us check in early and was very helpful. Being only 10 mins from town was also helpful!

AustraliaThe unit we stayed in wasn't as clean as it should have been, cobwebs, dust and debris on some surfaces & in bathroom in particular. Shower hadn't had a good clean in a while, grout & sealant was grubby and tired & needed replacing.

AustraliaBathrooms could have been cleaner. We didn't like the fact two single beds were pushed together, we were expecting a king bed, also would have been handy if the key could lock the outside door. A tv in the bedrooms would have really made it perfect.

Australiathese aren’t dislikes but possible improvements. - A comfortable couch would be good, considering it’s a couples retreat. - hot plate took a long time to cook meat. - a trolley or something similar would be handy to transport luggage and supplies to the room. - room was tidy but could do with a deeper clean.
