Liked everything but guests might need to know there is only a smaller microwave size separate oven rather than a full size one, if planning on cooking. Our pizza we bought just about fit in!

Excellent stay. Quiet location. Very clean. Comfy beds. Large size good toiletries to use. We loved putting out the bird seed and seeing the rosellas, as well as other birds. Definitely recommend.

Nothing. It was all lovely. Be aware it is not a guesthouse in the European sense. The property is self-contained.

Spacious, light, airy and spotlessly clean. Lovely balcony overlooking the woods. Walking track to the lake where you can swim off the jetty. We like the house so much we extended our time by 3 days. It was beautifully appointed with everything you could want. At the end of 5 months travelling in Australia/ NZ it was the best value place we stayed for the quality, and one of our favourites overall.

I stayed here with one of my friends for a relaxing girl’s weekend. The attention that was paid to all the little things was fantastic! At home I have a little heater in the bathroom and I usually have to forgo it when I travel - this was the one place that had one and I felt so at home! There was also birdseed and feeders on the gorgeous outside balcony and lorikeets, gallahs and rosella all came to feed so we got to have a really close look and photos with them. It was very clean, spacious and cosy. All the modern amenities you could need were there and the shower was BEAUTIFUL. I should also note that all the artwork that’s hung up on the walls is painted by the owner and I really enjoyed looking at it - very talented! A very restful and pleasant place to stay and would be appropriate for anyone whether it’s a friend trip, a romantic couple’s getaway or a small family (there is room for at least 4 people to sleep). Very close to everything you could need or any place you could want to go in Lakes Entrance. I couldn’t recommend it more!

That we were staying only one night

We were blessed to spend a night at this property. Set amongst gum trees, we were greeted by the colourful birdlife. The owners even left birdseed to feed them. This added to the therapeutic and tranquil feel of the property. We would highly recommend Gillys guest house as it has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Very spacious and clean. Quiet location. The unit had everything you needed for your stay.The bathroom had a very large walk shower. Also included in the bathroom was a washer and dryer. The kitchen had a full sized fridge. The ceiling fan in the bedroom was great and quiet. Sue, the host was lovely. I would definitely recommend staying there.

The only aspect we felt could be improved upon is the location. Unfortunately, there isn't a supermarket in close proximity to the cottage, so it's important for travelers to plan ahead and bring along any necessary provisions. However, despite this minor inconvenience, the cottage itself offers a wonderful retreat for a relaxing staycation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage; it was not only immaculately clean but also charming. The owner, who lives nearby, was incredibly accommodating and eager to assist us during our visit. The kitchen was meticulously organized and fully equipped, making meal preparation a breeze. We had a delightful experience and would eagerly return for another stay

The steps to the guesthouse could be a little bit lower (as i have bad knees) but is a minor fix.

The guest house was well thought out and contained everything we needed. Quality bedding and furnishings too. Air-conditioned with a ceiling fan in The bedroom. A verandah and out door seating area. All of which made our stay lovely.

I felt that the quality of the furnishings didn’t quite match up to the excellent design of the house.

The house is really well designed. It is adjacent to the owners house but totally private. Large bathroom/laundry and fully equipped kitchen. Lovely outlook over the grounds. Hard to fault!

We didn't find anything we didn't like, we were very comfortable. We didn't cook as we ate out, but the kitchen seemed to have everything required and more.

Peaceful, spacious accommodation. From the outside it is hard to see how the accommodation would be inside, upon opening the door we were surprised to find such an open and well designed space, with lovely comfortable furnishings. The native environment and birds were a beautiful sight, a lovely reminder of the beauty of our gorgeous country. Thoughtful accommodation - everything provided, pod coffee, variety of teas, cooking basics and many thoughtful touches. Most highly rated for presentation and immaculately clean accommodation. The property is meticulously kept, it had everything you could need. It is a beautiful and peaceful setting, with all different types of birds visiting just outside the window. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets beautiful to sleep on. It felt very inviting and relaxing. I would definitly go back again. It is wonderful vaule for money, it is in a bush setting rather than by the lakes or ocean, but a tiny five minute walk and you can get to the water through a little bush track.

Spacious, modern, clean accommodation in a quiet, peaceful setting not far out of Metung village. A very comfy bed. We enjoyed the morning sun on the deck. Basics like tea and coffee provided, and even bird seed to feed the local visitors! Excellent communication from the host.

The chains on blinds way to high. I have shoulder neck issues and hard to raise my arms above shoulder height and they were well above this to open and close.
