Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe pre-check in, security deposit and door code procedure needs streamlining, when you book multiple villas. You should not have to enter your personal and card details 5 times! The driveway could have night lights.
Loved the accommodation, which was clean, comfortable; the villas and Bush Cabin well suited our family. Very functional and practical. Remote location was a bonus, however still only 30min to Springbrook. Comms with the property was very good, through email and SMS.

AustraliaWe didn’t have any spare pillows for the kids the sleep on. There isn’t much bench space in the kitchen, but you make do. Lighting is a bit tough, especially as we were there while it was dark and rainy.
The location was beautiful, and the animals were fun to be around

AustraliaDid not have contact with owners, but some prefer that. Had to pass through Verandah to go to the pool, and the peacocks leave messes. More sweeping needed
Escape to the tree tops. Lovely surrounds with views of Gold Coast. Lots of lovely animals to feed and sit near. Loved those peacocks. Enjoyed the pool nearby. Loved the large raindrop showerhead! Treehouse # 1 was perfect. We stayed the whole of xmas week. Recommend highly for people to stay here!!

AustraliaNot much to say here - we loved it.
It’s quite spacious and homey - both the room itself and the property. The peacock and farm animals add a layer of novelty to it, the staff kindly providing pellets to feed the animals with as a fun part of the stay 😌. Although it’s in the bush, it feels open and breezy - a fresh, quirky get away. Really refreshing space. The room itself was beautifully styled. Not over the top, but by no means boring. Most homey yet novel “hotel” experience I’ve ever had. Loved it.

AustraliaTheir was no comfortable place to sit - no lounge. The two single beds were the lounge! Maybe a sofa would be good - folding out to a double bed. The main bedroom mattress was hard as a rock. The pillows were flat and old. An ant problem was throughout the the kitchen level. The kitchen had no bench space. The plastic single chairs looked tacky - faded. The drive through the property to the houses was messy.
Good views. Quirky feel.

AustraliaThe bed was too hard. Sheets and towels smelled like not so clean laundry. The spa, which you pay for additionally, way too hot at 40.5 degrees (you’re not allowed to play with the settings).
The quirkiness of the treehouse. The animals, especially the goats were endearing. Peacocks were magnificent. Alpacas intriguing. View magnificent. The camping oven was an experience. The stove, although at times annoying (bring matches or a lighter as the self starter didn’t always work, functional. But the copper bath outdid it all.

AustraliaNo microwave, shower was great with the exception of only having a shower curtain. Proper glass walls would be 100 times better. Checking in could have been easier - you had to click the link where you previously paid an authorisation amount to access a custom portal to receive your treehouse number and entry code. Having these details texted or emailed directly to the guest would be a LOT less hassle.
Gorgeous location, we stayed in one of the older tree houses. There was no heating, and I was worried about it getting cold at night being winter, but it was surprisingly warm. Sitting on the balcony in the morning was beautiful. Lots of comfy seating inside, too - this can be hard to find in a lot of places!
