Grampians Pioneer Cottages are a real gem near Halls Gap @ the heart of the Grampians. We stayed here for the second time - this time with our family. We loved the cosy and beautifully furnished cottage, equipped with all you need to make your stay comfortable and nestled in superb, wild nature. We admired the visit of many kangaroos, emus, birds … who were literally at our doorstep, enjoyed the fabulous fireplace in the evening. What an unforgettable experience. We hope we can come back again soon. We can highly recommend this place. You will not regret it.

    Nothing

Lovely peaceful location with great views. Lots of kangaroos to watch each morning. Also emus. Rustic accommodation but had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Only 4 cottages on site, each set well away from the others so you never saw other guests. Would definitely recommend.

Kitchen utensils could do with a face-lift (knives were blunt, perhaps have a knife sharpener?) Shower could be better separated from toilet space to avoid wet floors.

The close encounter with the kangaroos, emus, hares, deer and your local friendly chooks! Location is perfect! Short drive from Halls Gap and secluded enough for wildlife sightings. Scent of the fireplace. The bedroom in the loft is nice.

Everything about our stay was fantastic.

The cottages are really lovely, and each one is set in its own private location. Adrian and Corinne were warm and welcoming and ... so many kangaroos and emus to see very close to the cottages.

    Absolutely nothing.

I chose this property due to it’s location, amenities and charm of the cottage as we were travelling with our Irish friends and wanting to give them a beautiful Australian experience. This is exactly what we got too. The kangaroos and emus were the perfect touch along with the open fire place, well appointed kitchen and lovely bedrooms in the mud brick pioneer cottage. We explored the beautiful property and felt very relaxed for our stay and our only sadness was that we weren’t staying longer due to our tight itinerary. Definitely somewhere to return to for a longer stay to explore more of this gorgeous region. Thank you, we just loved everything about this place.

The fire, it was too Smokey. We smelt the smoke as we walked in from whoever was there before. However, we just used the heater.

The surroundings and facilities. We had all we needed, like a home away from home.
