Great quirky log cabin with wonderful veranda. We had some amazing wildlife visiting including cockatoos and parrots. The cabin is spacious and well equipped and within walking distance if the beach. Fantastic experience!

No dishwasher or air conditioners in the bedrooms for summer. Lovely warm oil heaters in the bedrooms which were greatly appreciated in the winter. We didn’t like that hardly anything was open especially at night for dinner. Indian, Pizza, Noodle Bar and fish and chips were the only things open. Even the pub was closed!! We will return but perhaps in the spring or early Autumn. Otherwise we had a lovely time and amused ourselves.

Exactly as described on the site. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen and pantry held enough utensils to cook, if you wanted too. Great location.

When we first arrived the property felt a little gloomy and cold inside. It obviously doesn't get much natural light inside. Although a sofa, dining table & chairs were provided on the veranda, we never really found a "sunny" place to sit for a couple of hours.

The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well equiped and the property was spacious. The property was close to the main town and in a good location.

The Japanese pictures and lights didn't go quite well with the log house.But that's just my opinion....

We liked Lorne and the shops around. We liked the fact that we could bring our dog with us.He was in his best behaviour. We liked the beds.They were comfortable .

Location was close to town...walking into town was pretty easy however, walking back is uphill all the way. The lounge room in the cabin is nice and big with comfy furnishings. Bed in main bedroom was really comfy too. Overall, the house has a nice 'vibe', we were very relaxed there, just what we needed.

Cleanliness was a bit wanting, & very little coffee & no normal tea in pantry.

Loved the space, the location, the touch of Marimekko & being immersed in nature. Also appreciated the complementary bottle of wine & block of chocolate. Owner was very helpful in assuring an early check-in.

The place wasn’t clean enough. When we mentioned this to the owner, the ‘cleaner’ who lives next door, came over with a rather aggressive attitude and he felt everything was clean enough; we weren’t satisfied and won’t be using this place again. Also left one day early.

Although bathroom is stunning and easily accessible, no shower screen was tricky to navigate when trying to minimise water splashing and pooling on bathroom floor. Fortunately handy mop and bucket available used to dry floor after each shower, avoiding accidental slips for young and old.

Cleanliness; relaxing space; well stocked kitchen with all the utensils and key pantry items required for family cooking. The pet friendly set up with bowls and toys were a hit with our fur boy Storm too.

Homy welcome feeling. Our small dogs with a little anxiety felt very relaxed and comfortable on this lovely property.
