How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The tv didn't work properly in the main bedroom and power plug is come off the wall. Screen door didn't lock in the main bedroom.
I like it had two separate bathrooms. Nice kitchen and lounge room. It have two beautiful branders.

I thought we had car parking included when we booked but must have misread. Didn’t matter as there was street parking right in front available.

The apartment was not as clean as our stay 3 years ago. The bedroom floor had a slimy film that was uncomfortable to not wear shoes. The outside balcony was very dirty. There were parts inside the unit that weren’t clean. The units need done maintenance, light coverings missing, broken cupboard handle inside bedroom
The location is great and the apartments themselves are a good layout and size

Had to provide additional ID documents through an sms link that I have never had to do with other booking.com bookings. No a/c in the bedrooms.

As above no car park! Paid extra money for their car park $20 a day it not cheap stay even longer! If other family members came still can’t park there only one.fam members
No car park. As parking is very restricted Carrying many luggage’s and other stuffs to carry too!

Ceiling fan made loud banging noise. Floors were dirty, ugly dirty mark in kitchen cupboard, bed linen not pressed and looked slept in. Bed covers uncomfortable.

We couldn’t get in to the building even tho we had the code . No staff were working to ask but we found a maintenance guy who was happy to help us

Was a bit warm in the bedrooms as the air conditioning didn’t cool that end of the unit. The ceiling fans helped though.
Latge enough to accommodate family of 5 without being too expensive - sofa bed was a good option. Two outdoor spaces and a kitchen and two bathrooms.

Apartment was very unclean. Floor was sticky and dirty, sofa had rubbish under it when we went to pull out the sofa bed.

Disliked the complicated check in process, the accesibility of a childrens cot, the amount of info and codes you are sent to get into the property made it confusing and timely with a child, thae fact that we had to empty our own rubbish or possibly incur a fee

The check in was not very smooth. The unattended reception and the person who answered the call at the number provided, unfortunately, did not speak fluent English. One evening, the parking was quite full, and there was only one slot left, and the car next to that space was not parked properly and i literally had to squeeze in. Moreover, I'm not sure if all the apartments were occupied.

Attention to detail, less toxic cleaning products plus a more thorough clean
Location good Apartment smelt like chlorine and needed a good airing. Bathrooms need a good clean.Balcony very dirty Beds comfy, good pricing for single night. Pillowcases on beds were crumpled and needed ironing

3 Different codes for garage/door and front door, hard to find on one txt msg. Cleanliness was very poor. Upon arrival we needed to open all doors as the smell of bleach was totally overwhelming. We had booked for 5 people and the linen was out for the 5th person however there was only 5 forks in the drawer. There was a tissue and opened detergent sachets on top of the washing machine. Sunday morning was a cockroach coming out of the kitchen cupboards
