Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. AustraliaFor the money we were paying, I would expect nicer crockery. There were plain white unmatching plates and bowls with a chipped plate. Very cheap cutlery. I have a BnB and I know it does not cost much to get a bright, cheery dinner set from places like Victoria's Basement. Also it is disappointing that there is no table to sit at to eat dinner. Just a small round table for 2 would be good. Otherwise of course the view is fantastic, and the location is great.
Location fantastic - that is the key reason we like to stay at Harbourside. Parking is easy. Access to ferries . Lots of places to walk.

Location was superb. Great view of Sydney Harbour. The room was comfortable and the facilities were good. There were a couple of lights not working and I'm sure that this will be rectified by the owner.

United KingdomWiFi is really really slow. There is a 4G signal so we could hotspot from our mobiles.
Fabulous location and view. Lovely flat. Nice cafe's nearby, Ferry stop just outside. Generous host, and really secure place and location. It was summer and there was a good breeze coming through the windows and ceiling fans. If we had needed them there were also modern portable fans provided, but we never needed them.

The location is perfect. You stay on the quiet side of the harbour but are just a 5 minute ferry ride to Circular Quay or Darling Harbour. We had a lovely dinner and breakfast at the cafes on Blues Point Road - walking distance from the apartment.

Fabulous harbour views but filthy apartment that stank of fish. Bathroom tiny. Advertised as having a washing macine and tumble dryer 8n the apartment. Had to go to a different floor and pay for the laundry

A lot of odd pieces There was no chux wipes to clean the kitchen bench (only thing was small sponge with scourer on the back) Hot water pressure in the shower was low, hard to shower properly.
