We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesWindows really needed washed. Ocean spray deposits have accumulated over an obvious long period of time. This impacted the views we were there for. Heating in the central area requires lighting the gas fireplace, which does work but requires lying on the floor and igniting manually since the automatic switch does not work. Requires some level of handiness to execute. Lack of electrical plugs in the master bedroom was bizarre. No spices in the cupboards made for some bland meals since we had come from abroad, couldn’t bring our own, and weren’t there long enough to justify purchasing.
Fantastic location right on the spectacular waterfront. Modern facility. Close to great wildlife at the nearby volcanic reserve. Close to the Great Ocean Road and the Grampians.

United StatesWe had a fantastic time and would definitely stay again. Things that will make this place even better are: - Have lamps set up throughout the house to create ambiance in the evening/night. The current lighting is too bright. - Should have paper towels available to dry dishes/hands. Only a tea towel was provided. - Should have a broom/dustpan available as sand will get into the house after a walk on the beach. - 2nd bedroom should have a full queen size bed (not 2 beds put together). - Pls restock candles.
Lots of space, amazing views with nothing between you and the beach. Access to lots of quiet, secluded beaches.

AustraliaWe were extremely disappointed to find the dishwasher didn't work. When I called the agent to discuss this, she informed me that they knew this, and a new one had been ordered and it would arrive on Tuesday. When I politely expressed by disappointment and that there was 8 of us, she said she would talk to the owner about a discount. I thought that this would be reasonable as we had planned on cooking at home and had purchased a lot of food because we thought we had paid for a fully functioning kitchen. She got back to us and said that no discount would be provided however someone would come and fix the dishwasher. A lovely man came and took the dishwasher and returned it the evening we were leaving. The one night we had decided to eat out. I understand that these things happen, however this was a very expensive stay, and it was clear to us that the owner's financial wellbeing trumped ours. We were not asking for a large discount. Just something to compensate for not being told the dishwasher didn't work and therefore planning our meals accordingly.
