How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Could not fault anything.
Loved the style of the house, the facilities, the fact that the house was stocked so well and the general comfort of the place. It is truly a unique accommodation the we have not experienced before. A very pleasant surprise and we were sad to leave.

While my bed was very comfortable, one of my fellow guests commented that her single bed wasn't very comfortable. Perhaps the bed in that room could be reviewed? There are five bedrooms to choose from, and that one bed was the only slight concern (very minor). I would not hesitate to stay here again.
We loved our stay at Hedge House. The check-in instructions were easy to follow, the location was central, the house was quiet and very well appointed with everything we could possibly need. We really enjoyed all the extra touches - a well-stocked pantry (the best I've ever seen!), plenty of towels and pillows, a great games cupboard. It was very clean and comfortable. A very charming property perfect for a weekend with friends or family.

Bunk beds a little small for an adult. Top bunk low.
Very well set out home. Car was able to fit in the garage. Welcome wine and chocolate was a bonus. Breakfast supplies ample. Lovely area.

There are no negatives.
It was everything it promised to be, and then some. A beautiful house, styled beautifully, large and comfortable. Kitchen and bathrooms fully stocked with amazing products. Huge outdoor areas. Delicious welcome wine and chocolates. I can’t recommend this place enough…you will not be disappointed.

This is not a criticism, if we had known access through the garage was flat we would not have brought wheelchair ramps. This home could easily be listed for disabled travellers. The shower also had flat access.
There was juice, milk, a variety of fresh and frozen bread and cereal. Host left bottles of wines and chocolates. Linen was good quality, high thread count, plenty of towels. The pantry was stocked with heaps of essentials and extras. Coffee pods and different teas were great. The house has been styled beautifully with comfortable lounge furniture.

The welcome note and the wine and chocolate was such a lovely thing. The place was spotless, roomy and comfy. The cupboards well stock, with anything you could need. location was great. Perfect stay!

Nothing, this is an exceptional place to stay.
This is a beautiful house and extremely clean and well presented. The location was fantastic and our host Megan was exceptionally helpful. When we arrived there were enough consumables in the fridge and pantry to get us started which was a nice touch. I could not recommend this stay highly enough and next time we're in Toowoomba we'll be coming back to Hedge House.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house is comfortable and well equipped. I have stayed in a lot of places over the years and this place ticks all the boxes even to the extent of having enough towel rails for all occupants. This is often overlooked. The space is well laid out and thoughtfully designed with a number of different sitting spaces and was ideal for our family stay. Megan made contact for all aspects of check in and departure and it was a seamless hassle free stay. Thank you.

The location of the locked box to locate at night was a bit challenging as was the details for the wifi. We may but have read something we should have though! The mattress on the bed in the master would benefit from a mattress topper as it is quite unforgiving. We couldn’t find the iron and ironing board, but after a treasure hunt that had us all engaged and giggling we located both.
We needed and welcomed the multiple areas for our group to be able to work together and separately as required. The outdoor area was perfect until the mozzies and midgies chased us inside. Seating in the various areas is very comfortable also.

We loved everything.
Loved the effort they put in to make it feel like home, pantry (more than basics), muffins, bread milk etc .. so amazing. Also toys for kids, highchair, portacot etc. Board Games etc.. They were so accommodating and really wonderful and friendly to deal with... We will be back!
