Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWould love a choice of pillows (soft and firm), rather than just soft pillows.
Newly renovated room & amenities - very clean. Loved how accommodating the staff were - took time to show us our room, common room, amenities, etc. Very comfortable.

AustraliaDidn't realise that there were shared bathrooms. The hotel isn't that big (like ~10 rooms), so not too big a deal, but still not my preference to be walking down the hallway to the loo/shower.
We stayed to be close to the Figure 8 Pools - it was about 25min drive there, so quite convenient. People were drinking downstairs at the bar and upstairs in the accommodation could hardly hear a sound.

AustraliaLight coming through window above door whenever someone passes, and lack of air conditioning were only discomforts. Painting over or a board over that window would work. But I'd come again and see if I can get room 6 next time...
Comfy bed, cleanliness, friendliness, common room and it's facilities

Australiaif my room had been above the bar I would have liked to know in advance and probably would have liked a discounted price.
Great little hotel. Comfy room and despite the communal bathroom they were very modern and clean. The showers were amazing too! My room was above the bistro so it was fairly quite (apart for the few hours of live music on Friday night but it wasn't constant and it finishes at 11) but a friend was above the bar and it was very loud so I would recommend asking for a quite room. I would recommend bringing pair of earplugs just in case. Great central locations with few really good cafes and restaurants as well as coles right at the doorstep. I did very much enjoy my stay.

AustraliaProbably the shared bathrooms later in the evening - there was lot's of hair! Not a big issue but maybe a regular sweep of them to ensure they are back to the high standard when we arrived.
We've not stayed in a hotel for a very long time. It had everything we needed. What we didn't realise was the noise downstairs, however, it wasn't much of an issue. The shared bathrooms were super clean when we used them and it was later in the evening when you realised you were sharing them.

AustraliaOf course as a pub it’s quite loud and some cigarette smoke drifting upstairs during pub opening hours. The rooms are also not air conditioned, shared bathrooms a bit of a hassle although they were very clean and good pressure in shower.
Location is nice, good view from my room.

AustraliaI was very happy with the amenities and the staff.
I didn't have high expectations, not having stayed a a 'country pub' before, but the staff were very helpful, the room and bed were very comfortable. The bathroom was down the hall but it was very clean. The restaurant had a good menu and the food came quickly and was very nice. I was a little worried about noise, as it was a Friday night, but at 10pm it was quiet.

AustraliaThere is a window high up in the high ceiling rooms. Every time someone walks past it sets off a sensor light and your room floods with light. Also at like 3am I couldn't figure out why my room wouldn't go dark again after the sensor light went off and when I went to check, it's because someone had left the bathroom light on and it was still making my room bright. Bring a sleep mask! It's above a pub so until about 11ish it can be very noisy. WiFi is EXTREMELY slow for uploads.
Great location. Really comfy bed. Only 9 rooms and 2 shared bathrooms. Room 9 is closest to toilet. Easy check in and out. Free parking nearby. I parked mainly 50m down street at pool. Despite being above pub its quiet by 11ish, even on weekend. TV works well. Security cameras present. As a solo female traveller i felt it was a Safe location/neighbourhood.

AustraliaNot enough staff serving drinks. We arrived Saturday and stayed Sunday night and both nights were very busy. We had to go into the bar to get our drinks and often had to line up. Our room was adjacent the fire escape and the sensor light in the escape hallway flicked on and off all night and was loud enough to keep us awake. It was an extremely windy night so I am not sure if the wind affected the sensor. We were a little disappointed that the common room was not set up for breakfast. Most hotel stays have toast and cereal included and available free for guests in the common room. If breakfast was available we were not informed.
It was great to be able to have an affordable meal in the hotel dining room. The common room is lovely and the rooms and bathrooms well appointed.

AustraliaWould be good if there was heating/AC in the rooms; a little more furniture, e.g. some sort of seating; didn’t know if there were hairdryers until we asked staff, turns out they were in a hallway cupboard; was noisy on Saturday night; can’t ask for too much for the price, but personally next time I would pay a little more and get a room with an ensuite elsewhere

AustraliaThe rooms weren’t heated at all. No heating was provided and when asked, they said “we’ve had issues with heaters, but you’re welcome to buy one and use it and take it with you”….??? they told a friend of mine “they all broke last week”. most rooms had heated blankets on the beds, but not the twin room, not a single heat source was provided - it was actually a joke. the rooms dropped to 14° inside during the night, it was ridiculous. The common room upstairs doesn’t have a sink, so there was no way to clean anything you used, you had to place things in a tub, that wasn’t collected once over the weekend we stayed here, even after prompting the staff downstairs (because the dishes in the tub started to smell, as they couldn’t be rinsed).
the property was clean, tidy, the bathrooms were newly renovated and beautiful, with heat lamps (vital on the freezing evenings and mornings when showering). The pub downstairs has amazing food, the staff really are very helpful and lovely.
