The only small issue was having to go down stairs to fill the kettle.

A lovely, peaceful location; beautiful heritage accommodation with thoughtful additions such as candles and gas flame fireplace in the sitting room. Breakfasts every morning were superb with lots of choice. Hosts are friendly, warm and welcoming.

The attention to detail in the restoration of this property and bedrooms quality of finishes - whilst not forgetting about the main thing guests look for - modern comfort - made this a superb place to stay. We loved the drawing room space, outdoor verandahs, lovely garden. The owners are welcoming and made us feel instantly at home. Breakfast was fabulous, cooked options as well as continental, very high quality, served on a quality dinner service and crystal glassware. It is a very classy place to stay and we will be back! Cobden is a smallish fairly unassuming town in Country Vic, but it really is well worth staying here, at Heytesbury House and using the place as a base to explore the local area if you're either doing parts of the great Ocean Road or the volcanic hills and plains. The town also has a great family pub serving traditional hearty meals.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. The location, the property, the hosts, the food - everything was excellent.

It was wonderful to explore our local area and discover such a wonderful B&B, for those times when we just need to escape from renovations for a night, for example.

The owners are fabulous so welcoming. Would recommend to anyone. Room great and spacious the breakfast fantastic. If you don't go you are missing out. Just did not book enough nights.

We liked every second of our stay. It felt like being in a museum, but a very clean and comfortable one. We can highly recommend this jewel of an accommodation. Also the food provided for dinner and breakfast was simply excellent. There was absolutely nothing that could have been done better!!

Beautiful decor, the room was immaculate and we enjoyed lovely hospitality from Kathryn and Andrew. Cobden is within 1hr driving distance of the Great Ocean Rd, Warrnambool and the Otway Ranges, making it a lovely quiet spot to rest. Will definitely be back to try a different room and enjoy the hospitality again!

We found the mattress to be too soft, but I do understand this is a personal preference.

Loved the charm of the property and the beautiful gardens. Breakfast was delicious and you could see it was all home made with care. Great place to stay if you like to be away from the busy GOR. Bathroom was huge and everything was clean. Living room space was warm and cozy, great for a quiet night with a cuppa.
