The only problem we experienced was due to the cyclone as the water was cut off one day - but we were so glad to be in that beautiful place, that was a minor consideration.

Hibiscus is a very attractive Balinese styled property with great landscaping and a lovely pool. Our two bedroom apartment was large and had all the equipment we would have wished for. It was very close to the town centre, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Inconsistent Wi-Fi signal strength around the facility. Inability to be able to use the functionality of the Chromecast system attached to the TVs and the conflicting documentation for the set-up of same. The high daily rate when you have to pay for additional toilet rolls, among other things, i.e., there is no 'nice touch' about the place.

The location could not be any better. The onsite staff were willing to be helpful. You were able to relax around either of the two swimming pools. Spending time with family.

Mobility restricted people would struggle. We ended up on the top floor with no lift! So taking luggage up and down stairs was tough. Aircon placed in the bathroom for the suite was unexpected

A bit noisy between the rooms. Check room photos carefully to make sure you get right room for your needs.

Great location with short walk in either direction to beach, shopping/dining area and the pier. Nice spacious room, clean. Pool facilities at the resort were fantastic.

There building itself was not very well sound proofed and we could hear the children rubbing spice the floor and shouting in the next unit. This is not a complaint merely an observation. We were not at the room most of the time as we used the areas countryside to tour around. Beautiful place.

3 flights of steps were quite challenging. Water run off from the shower was a slipping hazard. I requested and received a mop, and it was something they already knew about. They said it was a design fault in the shower. Surely it could be fixed.

The location is fabulous . Balconies are great. Rooms are a good size .

Very noisy particularly with balconies opening into the central pool area. Kitchen facilities inadequate and no space. Shower over bath quite dangerous as slippery. Looking a little tired in places.

The studio apartment I was booked into initially was the most poorly designed accommodation I had ever experienced.. However, the staff at Hibiscus Resort found me a 1 bedroom apartment for no additional cost apart from a cleaning fee.

The location is terrific - easy walking distance to all attractions in Port Douglas. The Bali feel is also good.

Very few niceties e.g no welcome pack, no breakfast or vouchers, etc. Had to ask for more toilet paper. It seemed set up for a two day stay, we were there for 8 nights. Very expensive for just a room with an ensuite, that's all.

The couch/lounge. It was a little uncomfortable. Pillows for younger children - It would be great to have flatter pillows for kids.

Getting a little tired Bed was one of the worst I have ever experienced, too firm for comfort. For the money I would expect a comfortable bed
