I offer this as suggestions to help the owners improve their offering rather than to criticise as we were happy overall with our stay but yes there are areas that could be improved. A big one is that the entrance door needs a proper privacy curtain. The curtain is more a shade cloth and particularly at night with lights on is completely see through. Based on the angles of the building, there's direct view from owners' living room into the kitchen and main living area of the unit which feels invasive (even if not intentional) and the bathroom is also right next to the entrance door, so again if you shower you can't just walk out of the bathroom at night because it's completely see through. Tip for the owners would be to put a proper curtain at the entrance to offer privacy. Also the tv/living room upstairs is impossibly hot and has no aircon. Aircon is in the bedroom next door but the air doesn't really flow well into the tv room so we didn't stay in there much. I think it needs it own aircon unit to make it a usable room in this climate. Finally the fry pan is terrible and we couldn't find proper chopping knives. Can get decent non-stick fry pans at kmart for low price so that would be my recommendation to owners as the one there is very hard to cook with and everything just stuck to it and burned.

Owners are lovely - they live next door and met us when we arrived with a friendly welcome. They told us what we needed to know and then left us alone to enjoy our time. The place itself is really nice. It is clean and is a good amount of living space for a couple. Very comfortable bed and pillows and well appointed kitchen with most of what you need. Also washing machine and barbeque available which is nice. Wonderful views from where the house is and very close to south mission beach. The woolworths is only a 5minute drive away.

Would have loved some more cooling options in the main sitting areas as it was hard to keep cool visiting in December. I would suggest an aircon in the lounge room and/or options to make sitting outside more feasible such as shades or a fan.

Loved the tranquil location and beautiful view. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The hosts had included thoughtful touches to make it feel like home.

Nothing we didn’t like.

Great value for money. A sweet little place that felt like home and had lots of little touches. Had everything we wanted. The hosts Jackie and Kerry were very friendly and welcoming! Very happy with our stay.

Just that toilet is downstairs, not suitable for elderly.

A home away from home. Jackie and Kerry felt like old buddies. They took time to show us around. The place is exactly as described. Very clean and facilities very new and nice small things around. We would love to go.back.

Toilet is not on the same level as the bedroom.

Jackie and Kerry have put their personal touch to this excellent stay with lots of little ornaments and photos. I was impressed with the crystal wine glasses and other crockery. Views great from upstairs and general area. Definitely recommended.

The hosts, Jackie and Kerry, are excellent. They have welcomed us in the best possible way. The accommodation is located in a dream place and has wonderful views. The facilities are very comfortable. Wifi in the unit would be a good addition.

The unit is reasonably spacious and exceptionally well presented. It is very well equipped for self catering including the use of a good BBQ. The host is friendly, helpful but unobtrusive. Mission Beach is totally uncommercialised; a great place to get away from it all.

I really liked the location and the easy access to a conference we were attending and also the beautiful views from the unit. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and accommodating. Lovely place to stay I also liked the wild kangaroos at the back of the property.
