    Nothing. It was perfect.

Its a perfect getaway. It is rustic, charming and authentic. It is comfortable the farm is rolling, picturesque and filled with animals. Judy is the perfect host and generous with her knowledge and time. The freshly baked bread and eggs were a bonus!

A medium frying pan would be good to cook the pancakes we made using the farm eggs - the pan in the kitchen was a little small - so had to make lots of little pancakes.

Judy was a great host showing us around the farm and making us feel welcome, as did the friendly dogs. A lovely quiet place with no traffic noise at all. It was great to see all the different animals and I especially liked the alpacas. So kind in baking bread for us and providing food from the farm (eggs, pumpkin, herbs). So helpful in finding us a local tow truck guy, when the car broke down too. It was a real treat having a log fire each night.

    Leaving the place😃

This was the best farmstay experience ever! Our host, Judy and and her family were very warm, friendly, and exceptionally hospitable. Our girls enjoyed roaming around the farm very far away from us, a thing they won't try in the city! They were carefree, enjoying chasing the sheep, admiring the alpacas, the horses, chickens, Guinea fowls, pigs and piglets, feeding ducks, playing with dogs and srolling along the dam. If you want a serene, quiet stay, don't think twice, go for it! We had access to homegrown produce..herbs vegetables and eggs. You can go kayaking on the dam. We also enjoyed warm homemade wholemeal bread. The weather was cold..4.4°C but Judy got it all sorted with a fireplace and supplementary electric blankets! A complimentary farm on the last day of our stay was just a cherry on top to sum up my birthday escape and fun filled holiday. Thanks Judy♡

We are allergic to feathers! Most people would love the feather pillows and doonas. My son and I… not so much 😂 We booked to go to the Apple and Grape festival - I didn’t realise Stanthorpe was so big. Was a bit of a drive to the main town (I should have checked that)

Farm animals, Dora, the piglets and llamas. Fresh baked bread and eggs delivered to us. Lots of games to play. Lovely hosts that made us feel welcome (didn’t get to meet them this time, but they were very responsive on text) ❤️

The hosts were so warm and welcoming. We had a wonderful tour of the farm and my six year old absolutely loved it. Breakfast and cooking supplies were fantastic (including some fresh eggs collected that afternoon). The hot bread in the morning was a lovely treat. The location is about an hour out of Stanthorpe but it's a beautiful drive and absolutely worth the effort.

We really enjoyed the animals on the farm and kayaking in the dam. The farm was lovely to explore with great views over the dam and from up on the ridge. The host and her co-workers were extremely friendly going out of their way to make us feel welcome. We are also keen bushwalkers, so the proximity to Sundown National Park was great for us.

There is nothing to say as there was nothing we didn't like.

We loved staying here, next time I would stay longer atleast 5 nights. The views over the dam are lovely especially at sunrise and sunset. The silence of nature and the night sky are amazingly beautiful. Judy is a wonderful host, very welcoming and caring. She took us on a tour of the farm and shared the history which we really enjoyed. We travelled with 2 small breed dogs and they had the best time. I would highly recommend staying at this wonderful property again. Jane

Loved everything! One extra that would have been useful would be a map of the property to show where to drive/walk to explore.

We were provided with fresh farm eggs, milk, damper, veges from the garden and a well-stocked kitchen. The cottage was very comfortable and provided all that was needed, with extras like games and books. Relaxing on the balcony was wonderful! We loved meeting all the farm animals and Dora the dog. This was a perfect escape to the country to relax and explore. Thank you to Judy and Richie for such lovely hospitality.

There were absolutely no negatives at all - aside from having to leave!

The team at Glenlyon Dam Farmstay truly make the place unforgettable. From the initial communication with Judy to arriving and meeting Judy, Richie and CJ on site it was truly a wonderful holiday for us. The animals were gorgeous and the location being so close to Genlyon Dam was incredible. Morning walks around the property collecting the eggs (something our toddler will never forget - thanks CJ!) and feeding the animals was a wonderful experience and we were truly sorry to be leaving. The cottage itself was warm and inviting - everything you could think of was provided to make the stay top notch. The beds were comfortable, fire was cozy with plenty of wood available. Kitchen well stocked with every utensil you might need. These guys go above and beyond to make sure your stay is everything you would want it to be. We will be back as soon as we can!

The area is reasonably remote but that adds to the ability to completely ‘switch off’ and enjoy nature!

The location is very peaceful and provides a wonderful insight into daily farm life. The owners could not be more helpful and my kids loved interacting with the animals on the farm.the cottage is rustic and very cosy and comfortable. Perfect for a few relaxing days in the country.
