Requested a cot for my baby but it wasn’t provided. The place is not staffed. The door hinges need oiling throughout the entire building.

Great location. Large rooms. Reasonable price. Clean and tidy.

Aware the breakfast is complimentary, but some gluten free bread or non sugary GF cereal would have been nice. Or, another alternative option for weird diet people. I went out for breakfast instead.

Great location, great communication from staff and check in process, clean and comfortable room.

We could hear the street noise from cars at night, which was an issue for my partner, as he has sensitive sleep

Perfect overnight stay: great location, comfy bed, private bathroom. The whole place is very clean and thoughtfully equipped. Easy check-in/check-out

External bathroom. They were private meaning we could leave our toiletries safely in there. A bit awkward for myself with an older man's bladder going to the toilet several times in the night. These were small points but. Next we'll upgrade to a room with attached bathroom.

Fairly good location, room was comfortable. Breakfast was available at any time and community kitchen was nice extra. Owner was very helpful, thankyou very much.

If there was one thing that could've made our stay just that little bit better, it would be the addition of a comfortable sofa or 2 seater lounge suite. Otherwise, it was perfect.

Location, breakfast selection, friendliness of staff. Great communication from staff.

The security for the place was very good and location was great as we had Woolworths a couple of doors down and Hobart mall next street over. Walking distance to Constitute bay and Salamanca markets.

Very small rooms. Having a separate bathroom to the room, albeit for your exclusive use. Being opposite the hospital meant that both nights that I was there, at about 4 AM, there was some heavy duty movement of trucks (presumably, removing rubbish). Straight noise has been mentioned before. Also, having the kitchenette (sink and minor cooking facilities) separate from the eating area is a little odd.

I did like the vibe. Very close to all amenities. Lovely guests.

There can be a bit of street noise from time to time, often from ambulances or truck deliveries nearby. But honestly, it was rare in the middle of the night and didn't affect me much. Some people might be turned off by the walk to the bathrooms... but if you think about it, you often have to walk down the hall to the bathroom when staying with friends. So again, not a big issue.

This is my 3rd time staying at the Argyle Accommodation, and I would stay again in a heartbeat. The rooms are small but very well appointed. Big comfy beds, TV, kettle, etc. The washrooms are down the hall, but totally private / assigned to each room. I left my toiletries all over the place, just like at home, and never worried about sharing this private space. Honestly, the whole place feels like a home. Breakfast was great and convenient. BUT THE BEST THING: Just below the Argyle Accommodation is Pilgrim Coffee, a cute cafe with perhaps the best coffee in Hobart, and it is so close to the Argyle Accommodation, that I could stay on the hotel wifi (free) while enjoying my flat white and fresh pastries downstairs. A huge bonus. Ang and the whole crew are fantastic. Super sweet, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel is at the edge of the CBD with restaurants at your doorstep. The grocery store is literally a 2 minute walk. And if you walk the other way, the Queens Domain, Aquatic Centre, and Botanical Gardens are perhaps a 10 minute walk. The waterfront is just down the hill. I really loved being in such a central spot. Highly recommend.

Not a fault of the venue - only one family made enough noise for me to hear them but they were exceptionally loud - a good bang on their door sorted them for the night. Again, not the venue's fault but I thought I'd be OK with a private bathroom - next time I'd select a king or studio room with an ensuite. It's a pain to get dressed to go to the toilet and I almost locked myself out once. :-)

Great location and great owner - thanks for your assistance Ange! You even gave restaurant recommendations! Very comfy bed and unit was small but not as crammed as others I've been in. Cooling Aircon is via a portable air cooler - I had not used one before so that was fun! :-) It's a perfect backpacker venue where your private bathroom (if booking a queen room - I stayed 8 nights ) is just down the hall. Very good kitchen and breakfast facilities - they even prefer to wash the dishes to ensure they're cleaned properly!
