The disco didn’t finish to 330am so it was noisy. The bed was bouncy. The room was very small so no room for luggage. There was no sink or mirror in the bathroom which meant we had to use the sink in the kitchenette to brush our teeth. I found this very unsatisfactory.

Reception was awful. There was never anyone in the office and had to enquire at the bar for service - not easy on St Patrick's day! Difficult to get extra pillow. Motel room was clean but spartan even for this type of accommodation. A box ticked rather than a particularly great stay.

We chose this place for the location, almost on the beach. It was cheap and cheerful like many motels.

I didn't like that there was no air conditioner in the room.

The location was excellent, close to the beach and pub. The room was what you would expect for a back packers room. The gentleman at the desk was very helpful.

No aircon, but had a fan that cooled the room down a bit. We stayed on a Friday night and it was very loud with the busy bar next door. Wasn’t a problem for us but just keep that in mind.

Location was prime. Right next to the beach and the pub. Very reasonably priced too.

2 things that I expected better were: The first was the reception by the staff, it's not that I want a 5-star welcome but at least a smile. They greet you with a tired face and little tolerance. I clarify that they are not rude or anything but it would not take away some of their kindness and customer service. The second is cleanliness and order. I've been to other hostels and there really is a lot of difference. Here everything was dirty and you couldn't walk in the room because of so many things that were there from the other room mates. I think they do not verify that the rules can actually be carried out.

I think the location is quite good because it is very central to the other tourist spots.

There are people that live there full time so the rooms are packed with their stuff. The rooms are pretty small so it made it hard to put my stuff somewhere. The bunk beds weren’t the best. Reeeeally need to have aircon in there- it was absolutely boiling in that room.

Amazing location- path straight to the beach!! Great communal kitchen. Nice and clean. Good parking. Close to the pub.

For the price we paid it was not good enough at all. The reception was terrible. The sheets had stains on them. And there was no air con and they had one fan but it hardly moved the air around.

It was a bit noisy, people are literally always walking and chatting in front of your window. The kitchen was a chaos and it wasn't clean at all. There was no aircon.

The area is nice, exactly next to the beach. A welcome drink was included and Frank was fantastic with the pick up and the drop off at the Bus station (which is actually pretty far from the place).

Good food. I had the best market fish red snapper cooked perfect. The young chef was shocked and wanted to make sure i was serious with my tip I gave him. Very talented. The head chef very understanding I asked for some veggies with extra sauce. So very friendly kitchen staff. The best i've ever encountered in australia NSW. Raffle I didn't win but at least I was cheeky enough to make the girl laugh with blonde hair who was dishing out the tickets. Womens soccor teams now are finally coming out and doing so well. Playing pool with birthday man dale the manager for bar at hoey moey buying him a drink is priceless. Ppl from all around the world who work in Hospitality are very hard to come by. Its long hours and sometimes u have to give up yr weekends to work. Everyone should have at least 2 breaks regardless where they are from. Backpackers should be treated as an equal. Pay should be the same and overtime should come back in. Everyday living is getting harder n harder just need a little something extra.

I asked some single parents abt curtains and which way are they surposed to go. White facing the windows keep the room cool and coloured inside the room. This is 3 times i've had to change them around. The 3 Men who own Hoey Moey should spend a nite inside one of the dorms so they can understand their way first with no windows open only fan on. Its illegal to not do it my way you 3 owners need to do yr homework I think. I tried to sleep on the top bunk in room 22 it was like sleeping in a hot fire it was horrible. Where I come from you don't treat ppl like this. Big fines for what you 3 are doing. I got woken up on my first nite I had to pay another $160 for my own room i didnt like the dorm rooms. Way to hot. The windows behide the curtains don't even open up. That's a health Hazzard. Another fine for that. Its close to beach and everything small drive into town. But business wise you 3 need a rude awaking up I think. I got woken up at 2am first morning while in own apartment in room 10. Grey car green P plates Hyundai i30 damanged my petrol tank with his door. Didn't leave me his details how rude. A white big 4x4 parked next to mine so close i had centimetres to get out. The car spaces aren't wide enough to park in front of where u are staying. Needs to be fixed.

As I read in other reviews, it is indeed very noisy. People setting of a fire alarm in the middle of the night. The vibes are a bit odd, not terrible, not great, just a bit weird. I think this place would either be fine for one night or just book a room with friends. I bet it's a great experience. I didn't like that there were no plugs near the beds. I feel like there's no one keeping everything in check.

Very interesting location, nice to have a private bathroom (shared with roommates). The little fridge is nice and the parking spaces are also a bonus.
