Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

AustraliaOur shower head snapped off while having a shower, but they were quick to fix it. Beds weren't that comfortable, quite hard. Location was in a pretty busy area and cost us $55 each way to get to Circular Quay Parking was an extra $40/day
Our room was ready early which was nice after a long trip. Room was good and lots of room for us with 2 children. Breakfast was great but wasn't included in the price. Kids stay and eat free.

The buffet meal offered a wonderful variety of choices and the restaurant offered good value meals. The hotel was well located for easy access to the CBD. The view across to the harbour was good. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable.

The train was just steps from the front entrance. Lots of great cafes and restaurants close-by. Room was clean and had a big bathroom. Good accommodation for the price.

AustraliaI found a rubber band on the ground that housekeeping didn't notice, and also later on found a really large cockroach about the length of my middle finger. It didn't bother me that much so I didn't ask for help with it but I'm sure the staff would have dealt with it if I had called up.
Good room size, super close to the train station and plenty of restaurants and bars. There's also nearby unlimited free parking on weekends, or the secure parking for the hotel is decently priced. Wifi worked well. Room had all the basics as well as a bath. I couldn't really hear much street noise from my room even though it was only one floor up. Beds were clean and comfortable with a couple of pillow hardnesses to choose from

The hotel is extremely well located, right next to Kings Cross train station. The harbour view rooms have the most wonderful unobstructed views of Sydney down to the Bridge, Opera House, Harbour, and Botanical Gardens. The rooms are spacious and very clean, staff friendly and the breakfast buffet has everything you would want. We though the hotel was good value.
