How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The shower pressure and water volume was extremely weak. But that’s being super picky. It didn’t effect our stay at all.
I honestly can’t really fault anything. The breakfast was amazing. Huge supply of wood for the fire. The beds were comfy and linen was clean. My only complaint, and this is being super picky, the shower was pressure and amount of water was awful, but it didn’t impact our stay. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay there and recommend the cottages. Xx

If I have any complaint it was the lace curtains were in desperate need of a wash
Staff were amazing, very helpful! The breakfast basket was excellent and a big surprise as we were expecting a continental basket and they thought of everything from bacon, eggs, plunger coffee, milk, fruit, bread, croissants, fruit juice, cereals, jam, honey and apple juice. All local produce!!! They thought of everything. Kitchen was well equiped. Plenty of chopped wood and kindling for the fire. Beautiful linen and towels. Honestly there wasn’t anything you needed to bring except yourselves. Would definitely recommend this as a great stay at Stanthorpe.

Tucked away in beautiful gardens is a little slice of heaven. With an overflowing food basket on arrival and a well stocked woodpile, we knew we were set for an amazing weekend away from the kids. Comfortable bed and well stocked kitchenette, it was a great place to sit back and relax and sample some of the local wines. Renato, Emma and Sue should be immensely proud of the business that they have here. Even assisting us with getting belongings left behind back to use after our stay, they truly went above and beyond. It was lovely to also see that the wood box was restocked each day so on our return back after a long day sight seeing, we could easily relight our little fire to keep warm. Thanks again for a great experience!

We were given a breakfast basket upon arrival that was full of great produce and much more than we could eat during our stay. We thought it might be a bit noisy being situated behind the service station but we didn't hear a thing.

The TV or DVD was playing up, as it only showed black and white on DVD s we tried to play. would of loved some yogurt added to the breakfast, but otherwise pretty good. spa shower area, needs a handle, to get in and out of the spa, was pretty slippery..
breakfast was good, the lounge chairs were comfortable , bed was comfortable.

Warm bathroom for the cold weather. Maybe a small heater is needed. A few more towel rails would be good.

Nothing needed improving.
The fire place was stacked and ready all i had to do was light with the matches they provided. There was more that enough wood to keep the fire lit all night and through the next day.

Great brekky with fresh eggs, local bread and unique apple jam served in a lovely wicker basket. Loved the spa bath! Just what I needed after a week in the desert.... The fire was a great feature too -all ready set and lots of hard wood to keep burning slowly all evening. Fabulous!

Although the cottages are back from the main road you can hear some trucks travelling at night but it didn’t bother us after the first night.
Our Honeysuckle cottage was a great setup and spacious cottage. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed riding around Stanthorpe, great way to see the area and the riding roads are very good (lots minor roads). On arrival we received an enormous and fabulous basket of breakfast foods for our stay – eggs, bacon, jams, bakery, cereal, coffee… wow! Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Nice place to visit!
