Easy to find, checked in then a minutes drive to the best sunset in WA. Up early for a spectacular sunrise.

Only two small side plates and a saucer were provided with mugs and glasses. This made the small microwave almost useless. We bought paper plates and bowls. Only three pillows were provided. Most people need a couple each. There were no easy chairs so we had to use the bed. With no cushions and few pillows this was uncomfortable.

Good position so we could walk everywhere in the small town.

The fact that for the price we paid for one night, we had to do the dishes, which we always do anyway, or we would be charged and remove our own rubbish. Both would be extra $100 each. Never encountered anything like this before!

Location was fine , the facility was ok But such a late check in I’ve never experienced, 3pm check-in and charged $275 from 3pm to 10 am is rich !

Dated, well worn furniture which was in need of a good clean (although beds were clean). House rules were very aggressively worded, eg failure to empty bin, late checkout etc WILL incur a significant charge to your account.

No air conditioner. If we weren’t there in a cool day the fan wouldn’t have cut it. There was also no microwave in the room as I believe was pictured.

The staff were a little uncomfortable when I said I would come by 7pm, they wanted me to arrive earlier if possible but stayed at the office until I arrived at 6.50pm.

The building was a little isolated - away from the main motel. It was obviously converted from another type of building into an apartment. Some windows looked directly onto the side storage area of a neighbouring shop so blinds had to remain drawn. One of the bed heads was not anchored to the wall and the bed was on wheels and slid across the floor - brakes did not work. The above would not have been issues if advertised, they just took us by surprise.

Wifi was very poor, non existent in the room or outside the room. Lots of notices of what not to do with fines, felt these could be reduced, including an old Covid notice and written and a bit more friendly. Very limited cutlery and bowls etc, bbq does not have a scrapper so no way of cleaning it down. Checkin time was limited to between 3 and 6pm.

Grey sofa has a lot of stains. Both showers are in fixed positions and end up drenching the bathrooms. Laundry drying rack outside was filthy and pretty broken- has seen better days. I’d suggest getting a folding one to keep inside.

The staff were v welcoming on arrival. The room was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Short walk down to the pub by the jetty, staff here were friendly too

The folder with information about the Motel read like there were to be penalties for minor oversights. Best to re write the information in a more client friendly tone. Had to take our rubbish to the skip up from and near the office .

The mud brick room. It was spacious. We rang to get the TV volume working better and was well- instructed to get it reset. The receptionist came over to check all was OK. Warm and cosy with the heater.

Check in time at 3pm. Had to ask for access to ironing facilities. WiFi intermittent.

Great room. Good facilities. Need to be able to get into rooms before 3 pm though. Just waiting around to get into room was disappointing especially when on business. Wifi reception intermittent.
