Customer service required a phone call to an office which cost me on my UK phone. The washing machine wasnt working but the service person fixed it (needed water taps turning on). It was a little shabby.

Our bathroom light was highly flickering, it would be on for a few minutes then it would turn off and flicker etc. we stayed in room 2501. Also the safe wasn’t opening, the pillows were uncomfortable, good enough for a couple days but the bed was two singles connected so it had a gap in the middle which was hard, then one of the blinds in the bedroom was installed backwards so it let in a lot of light during the morning, had to put stuff up against it to keep it dark (I suffer with migraines from light) Considering it was a one bedroom high rise suite but it had a connecting bed rather than a normal double one was quite disappointing. Also couldn’t use the dishwasher as the way it’s been installed you can’t open it probably without popping the door off. One of the keycards were left in the room before we arrived and was snapped so couldn’t use that either

Unfortunately the room 1409 was in need of maintenance & repairs. Ten minutes into checking in, we discovered a teared roller blind, broken clothes drying rack, unscrewed toilet paper holder, loose/detaching towel railing and damaged knob on the shower handle. The property manager was quick to replace the clothes drying rack only. The cutlery provided was below satisfactory standard lacking food storage containers and decent steak knife's which were blunt and did not cut food effectively. We have booked previously with Ruby so we have our previous experience to compare and this time it was not as good as the first time.

At Level 14 the room had beautiful view of surfers paradise and beach to the east and nerang river to west (sunset was great!). We also enjoyed the facilities provided being a pool and sauna. The distance to both tram stations being cypress and north surfers made it easy to get around. Additionally public bus 704 was within range to travel. 7 eleven was just around the corner and if you didn't want to catch public transport it is at distant to walk to main surfers for coles and woolies and eateries.

The key collection was confusing and then very difficult to manage with no parking and many blocks away The apartment was great, the complex was average. Thank you for having us.

Having the key in another location was stressful and a little dodgy, the bath plug wouldn't work and so couldn't be used, there were no staff to ask if this could be rectified

The room located on the ground floor, too noisy. Other guests are too noisy and policy was no noise after 10pm. Also, other guest brings alcohol and vomits in the elevators. Although, cleaners come in the next day to clean.

The TV was soo slow there was no point in trying to use it. It would not even load. I called the Serrain help line she said the manager would come and have a look but they never did. But other than the TV we enjoyed the facility

Lack of kitchen equipment to cook and prepare meals. Just 1 pan and sauce pan. No strainer. Kitchen cupboards are to high. I cut my leg badly on the first evening trying to get glasses and cup, from them.

Location was very good close to both beaches, and shops and entertainment. Build security very good, and very nice reception staff.

We needed to walk 20mins to get our keys at a dodgy off site key box which was horrible to manage with three small children. Room itself was dirty, hair in the corners of all the rooms.

the bed sheets had clearly not been changed or cleaned before arrival, when getting into bed we noticed marks all over the brown blanket which was disgusting. found dark hair in the white sheets when getting into bed as well.

Lack of cutlery

Great apartment, needed proper cookware and more cutlery. The room we stayed in had writing on the wall from previous guests (not the hotels fault) the views were amazing and the ruby was walking distance from everywhere we needed to go

Not having the management company that I booked through on site is a real pain. The on-line check-in was very painful for someone that is not particularly smart phone literate. An older person without access to, and good knowledge of, how to work a computer or smart phone would simply not have been able to complete the online check-in, leaving them with no place to stay and nobody on site to sort out their issues. The company I booked with is based in Melbourne and while somewhat helpful on the phone, there is no substitute for an on-site presence. This is a real detractor for those that aren't technical wizzes, and I would not book with this company again as it was way too painful to sort out an on-line check-in the day before I travelled with no access to a computer.

Despite several poor reviews, the unit was clean, tidy and comfortable. The air-conditioning was spot on, the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms well maintained. Views to the north, east and west from the balcony were excellent.
