How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Walls very thin. Could hear the people in the next room’s conversation. Room hot, air conditioner not very good, needed some ventilation.

They had a restaurant/bar inside the motel, it would have been good to see it trading, but understandable times might be tough. Netflix was complimentary but last couple of nights, access was later removed for some reason.
Good and convenient spot to rest your head as i travelled for work. The owner/staff were really accommodating and made me feel welcome. At times they provided complimentary water / washing powder for my clothes which would have otherwise been a charge. They also answered any questions i had in relation to local landmarks and eateries. Daily cleaning of room helped make it feel new each time i returned. Bed was comfortable and sound proofing of windows was appreciated given you're on a busy road. Good entertainment services, like complimentary Netflix.

Only one small thing: the room had an overhead light box so as soon as the sun is up the room gets bright. So if you want to sleep in bring a mask. Otherwise this was an extremely comfortable room. I will stay here again for sure.
Friendly staff. Easy after hours access via a lock box and code (once you call a number on display). Clean, comfortable and quiet room (I think I had one of the newer ones) with all basic facilities. Traffic noise from the highway is to be expected but wasn't as bad as I was expecting. It was only noticeable during the morning peak hour (it was quiet at night). Good off-street parking though the spaces are tight so they're not suited to trailers at all. I will stay here again for sure.

I really don't think I can fault anything staff were more than helpful all in all it made our trip to Melbourne so much better would recommend to my friends and family.
We only had breakfast one day but it was a great way to start the day it was fresh and hot. Location was fantastic short walk to train station easy to get in and out of when arriving and leaving. Shopping centre just again a short walk away.

Would be good to have had a tap/sink in the actual room, not just bathroom. Also felt the TV was a bit small for size of room.
Great location to attend an event at Musicland. Room was spacious and clean.

The room was so hot and took forever to cool
It’s was comfortable the only thing I would suggest is when it’s very hot is to have the air conditioner on to have the room cool for arriving guests.

Position was great (for us- family nearby). Although older motel it was clean with comfortable beds, fairly quiet with great security if a female travelling alone. security gate so car is safer. Transport facilities nearby for direct to city. Staff very friendly.

Hall way near my room was very hot. Admittedly it was extreme heat but the other side of the glass door was cooler.

The walls were quite thin so we could hear the others next door. But everyone seemed to be aware of this and kept the noise to a minimum.
The service and staff were wonderful, they were very accommodating and trying to get us settled after a long drive. The location was very close to the train station as stated in the description.

Getting into the facility from carpark was a bit tricky as we checked in late night, but the reception guy helped us as soon as he realized that we were stuck outside.
Very nice and clean place, the room smelled amazing when we reached. It's always good to reach a clean and nice smelling room after a long day of travel. There was a secured car park too, that was important to give us some peaceful sleep time.

Thin walls.
Good place for a 1 night stay, unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open on a Monday night, but a shopping centre was 5 minutes away. Room was basic but clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful. Walls are a bit thin with the person next door constantly slamming the door each time he went out for a smoke during the night.
