How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Did not receive a copy of receipt as promised. Need this to claim accommodation cost from airline as only needed accommodation due to cancellation of flight.

The walk from the airport is poorly lit, and didn't feel very safe for a solo traveller to be walking there at night. I would recommend paying a taxi whatever you have to to take you there! You can hear people coming and going all hours due to flights getting in and leaving. Was very expensive for what you get.
The sheets and towels were lovely hotel grade and very clean. The staff member on the front desk when I checked in late at night had a welcoming smile and was efficient and friendly.

The check out time at 10am was too early. I only arrived at the hotel just before 2am and then had to be out by 10am which was such a struggle given my late arrival and my jet-lag. I think a 12 noon checkout would be more reasonable.
I chose this hotel for the location within walking distance of the airport and in that respect it was perfect as I landed at 1am. The wifi was also good and the room was clean if basic but all I needed for a short stay.

Room temp was set at 32 degrees, absolutely roasting when I arrived. Took a long time to cool down. Stairs only, hard to carry luggage up tight space. Bad shower, have to close doors or trigger fire alarm.
Location was walking distance to int terminal. Late checking in

No lift available. Fine if you don't have heavy luggage otherwise a pain. A few signs along the way from the terminal to the premises, although at times confusing. Mattress is hard as a rock but it's fine if you just want to sleep for one night. Comfortable pillows though. Room is small, bathroom is claustrophobic as it arely fits in the toilet, to the point that a sink is beside the bedroom. No 24/7 check in.
The position and proximity to the terminal is the plus in this hotel. It's fine for a night or a short stay, definitely not worth the price I paid for a double room.

The price of $309 considering what you get but was obviously a peak price as the other nearby hotels were booked out. The window latch didn’t shut properly so the road noise was loud through the gap and the shower head holder was broken.
Convenient Reception hours. Friendly staff. Room was clean. Bedding comfortable. Short walk to airport (albeit walking via a very dodgy looking area leading to/from the hotel that I’d dread having to use in the dark).

It was very close and easy to walk from the airport to there. Comfy bed, very simple and old room. A bit expensive for what offer, but you definitely pay for the location which is very close to the airport.

Beds were not clean. Pulled sheets back to discover hair and dirt as if sheets hadn’t been changed. Extremely disappointing. Cost for the one night, $385 was outrageous for the room size.
Location was ideal as we had quick flight turnaround

Room was so small and the bed so big that you couldn’t walk around it normally- you had to shuffle/ skip with the same leg until you got past! Price was high for what you got but I suppose Taylor Swift gets the blame for that!

It’s a budget hotel for convenience and delivers on this. Not somewhere you would plan to spend a long time at.
Close to the airport and it had a room available (only hotel nearby that did) when my flight was canceled and I needed to stay overnight. Walking distance (just) from the terminal. Petrol station and a Maccas very close, hotel has no onsite food except for a vending machine and breakfast, which is in keeping with a budget hotel.
