Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Loved how the apartments opened up to accommodate my family. Exceptionally close to where I needed to be. Only downside was the lounge in the main living area was too low other than that it’s a perfect place to stay and I will be using Indulge apartments every time I am in Mildura love love love

AustraliaNo windows, tiny fridge balanced on top of a stand, which toppled off the stand when you opened the door. Fridge didn’t work, had leaked water onto the floor, floor of living space was so sticky. Had to ring and get the floor cleaned and fridge replaced. Massive dining table in a small space, tiny minimalist 2 seater couch. The apartment just wasn’t a place to sit and relax.

AustraliaThe location of the apartments was in a back lane and access to the apartments was very dark and felt unsafe. While staying we heard a noise in the middle of the night and scared off someone trying to break into the apartment. There was not dedicated parking provided for all apartments.
The apartment was spacious and had all the facilities we needed and as described when booked. The lock box made it easy to arrive outside of the office opening hours.

Australiathe description online of the apartments was generalised, and the studio apartment we booked did not fully match the descriptions provided. The apartment had no windows and was quite airless and dark. Although it was a self catering apartment, there were no forks, and only one spoon. Very odd.

AustraliaA staff member let themselves into the apartment while we were there because they had accidentally left something. This was totally unacceptable, privacy is a bare minimum at any accommodation and we were walked in on (while we were asleep!) rather than being called first to explain the situation. The walls are also very thin so we could hear our neighbours all day.

AustraliaThis property was advertised as having a kitchenette - it had nothing. The adjoining property which was separated only by a door (not sound proof) had occupants who played exceptionallly loud music full of profanities ALL NIGHT. On the second night I rang the managers who said they would ring the occupants. The music stopped for all of 10 minutes and started again. I rang the managers again and told them I would be ringing the police. At 4:50 AM the music ceased. We left the apartment a day early exhausted and far from refreshed.
There was no breakfast. There was no kitchen. There was no water. There was not an acceptable fridge as it was the smallest bar fridge you could find, it leaked and you could not make ice cubes.

AustraliaWe booked a studio apartment for 3 nights via Booking.com, on the basis of its location close to downtown restaurants, and the picture that came up when we selected that very specific apartment on Booking.com’s website, which showed a bright sitting area with an abundance of full length windows. We were then contacted by Indulge a few hours before we were due to check in and told that (1) we couldn’t have the same apartment for all three nights - we would need to move mid stay, and (2) that the apartment we’d booked didn’t have any windows. We said that in that case could they please cancel the booking and give us our money back. They said that this wasn’t possible as we’d booked through Booking.com, so we would need to contact them to cancel. This was of course totally impractical (1) at short notice, and (2) given Booking.com had already told us it was non-refundable. As far as Booking.com knew what we’d booked was available. Indulge then said that if we paid an extra $66 they could give us a room with windows, but this was in a different property several kilometres from the other one, and nowhere near downtown restaurants. We complained that this was totally unreasonable. They kept telling us that they were doing all they could to help us, but of course they weren’t doing the very thing that they should and could have done – reached into their bank account, given us our money back, and recouped it from Booking.com. To add insult to injury, we were told that when we moved from one apartment to the other mid-stay we would need to be out of the first one by 10am, and couldn’t check in to the second one until 2pm. The attitude was that this "debacle" (their words) was not their fault - Booking.com's fault for the misleading photos, and ours for booking through Booking.com.
Apartment's were alright, but any upside was totally offset by the booking debacle.
