Unfortunately we had a noisy extended family staying in the next door apartment.

The room was very comfortable with quality fittings and utensils. The shower was excellent and so was the WiFi. The owner was very responsive to our complaint about the noise of the neighbours.

Very spacious living area with plenty of comfortable seating for group. Bed very comfortable. Shower exceptional. Loved underfloor heating in bathroom. Central so walking to our various functions in Kingscote was very easy. Great directions from property made it easy to find. Keyless entry was convenient.

Workers staying in aprt next door blocking driveway (suggest not to combine holiday booking with tradies staying, early/ noisy risers!). Perhaps not important to some....but nowhere to sit, enjoy sun outside!

Location is very good, if one wants to be in/ near town! Size and comfort of the apartment!

No view or lookout, feels a bit claustrophobic, especially when in such a nature-based destination. There is an outdoor area as shown in photos but you're within arms reach of cars, gravel driveway and colourbond fencing, so not particularly atmospheric. It's not a typical location for a holiday apartment, and they've done well with the location, but I found the price high considering these things; there are plenty of other places available for less $ which offer more benefits of views and some outdoor space.

Instructions for getting there were great, and the key code was perfect, no key to worry about. Apartment was spacious and clean. I don't think anyone was in the second apartment during our stay, so it was very quiet. Toaster didn't work, but before we could even contact anyone, a new toaster turned up on our doorstep, apparently the previous tenants had passed on the message and the response was quick! Beds were very comfortable and the shower was amazing! Lots of thought had gone into little things, like lots of dvds for kids and adults, books to read, games to play. Also some basics were in the fridge, like longlife milk, butter and tomato sauce, plus some herbs and salt and pepper in the cupboard. The second drinks fridge is a great touch, too!

Having read the two pages of ‘humour’ on ‘after reading people’s reviews and hearing their complaints’ in the ‘Information booklet’ I felt uncomfortable. But with my humour intact and tongue in cheek: light switches weren’t located intuitively, the wine rack was empty, the plants were plastic. Oh, and did I mention no view? But as laboured on in the ‘response to feedback’ that was indicated in the information! I was also left feeling uncomfortable when at 10:05am on the day we were departing someone drove up and parked within 1 meter of our car and just sat in their car. But I suppose we should have left at 10:00 not 10:15am.

Slightly musky smell but fine if open windows for a bit. The toilet sometimes keeps running water for a while after flushing. Note no dishwasher and the owners don’t want to put one in. it’s fine, just something people booking should be aware of as you have to clean your dishes before you leave.

Short walk to Kingscote restaurants and cafes. Kingscote is a great place to stay on the Island. Shower is great. Stayed in One Bedroom (Kernel) and there is a two bedroom right beside.

was told it was wheelchair facilities but it was not. could not get wheelchair into the bathroom.

It was advertised as having three bedrooms however it only had two, with two beds in the second bedroom. Having three bedrooms was one of the reasons we booked it, so that was bit disappointing. The toaster was also partly broken, but other than that it was a great stay!

Location is nice and central in Kingscote, but down a long driveway so off the road and nice and quiet. The property has lots of amenities (including great cooking facilities), a lovely big accessible bathroom, and very comfortable beds.

Walls are thin , unfortunately we had a spirited young child with delighting parents in the unit next door.
