How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The couch was a little uncomfortable but we made it work, and as I am a little disabled I could not use the higher chairs at the counter. All of the furniture was in very good order.
We had a hospital appointment and we live well outside the Toowoomba area, the convenience of location was perfect for our needs, parking was excellent, service was amazing and staff were very considerate and caring. As I am a little disabled I found the room to have ample room, and the bathroom facilities were excellent and very clean, Thank you to a great team.

Small balcony/walkway with people smoking right outside our room. Had to squeeze past them to get to room. Stairs a little rickety.
Liked the location. Beds were comfortable, shower pressure was good, room was spacious. A simple included breakfast with pancakes always fantastic with kids

Initial room given to us was not cleaned up properly and had flies. However, upon advising the front desk, they immediately moved us to a cleaner and better room.

The parking - not very good - for the unit that we were allotted. The room was not dark enough and near the noisy street. The room's size was just big enough. There were no USB chargers provided

The rooms were showing some age and the bathroom window had no flywire screen so I felt uncomfortable opening the bathroom window. The air-conditioning unit took a while to cool the room down and only works when you are actually in the room. It was sufficient for my needs though as I was in the room for almost all of my stay.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The rooms were well stocked with hand wash, shampoo and body wash dispensers as well as plates, cutlery, mugs and glassware. The pillows were very comfortable. All the appliances in the room worked, although they were showing some wear and tear. Breakfast was good. They offered toast, cereal, pancakes, hot drinks, juice and guests help themselves. The location was very handy for my needs and the room was very affordable.

Balcony was about 50cms wide, just enough to fit the clothes airer. The view was of a wall in the neighbouring building. The dishwasher was broken. The "large double bed" was 2 singles pushed together, which I fell through half way through the night on the first night. So I spent the entire stay sleeping on a "single" bed. Didn't meet expectations for the price I paid. But its not a bad place. Staff were very welcoming and friendly on arrival.
Good location. Seperate bedroom. Washing machine was handy.

The beds needed new mattresses as they were very uncomfortable and there wasn't enough parking

Smoking from neighbouring guests - suggest maybe section off smoking areas
