Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaHate to say a negative because we loved the hotel so much, but I just need to mention it. I rang the week before our stay to ask for a garden facing room. I was told that would be subject to availability but the request would be added to my booking. Unfortunately, the request wasn't taken seriously. The room we were given had a city view. The city view was great but we had really hoped for the garden view.
Beautiful room in a lovely hotel with outstanding staff (staff member Jada deserves a shout out). We visit Melbourne a couple times a year and we'll never stay anywhere else while this hotel maintains its high standards. For us, it's the complete package. Clean, tranquil, well decorated, high floors, balcony, great views (we had a Charlie Parker room), soft king bed, big tvs, great coffee in the hotel bar. Big thumbs up. We've just got home from our trip and have already booked our next stay.

SingaporeI was not reminded i had paid for breakfast + accomodation so i missed having breakfast for 2 days. The hotel reception is not 24 hours. We have to ask for bedroom slippers which i supposed it will be provided in the hotel room even without asking for it.
The location is convenient for access to placss of interest, markets, etc. There is a security guard at the ground floor.

AustraliaThe room was very warm even though it was cool weather. We ran the air con unit the whole time.
We love staying at the Jazz Corner Hotel, this was our third or fourth visit. The room was lovely and they had even left us a lovely gift as it was a mini honeymoon stay. The only feedback I would leave is that the room was very hot / stuffy and we ran the air con to make it comfortable the whole time. Our fav room has been the ones overlooking the park.

New ZealandGot a kitchen (I have allergies so like to cook) but ZERO cooking equipment - absolutely nothing!! We were told we could rent pots and pans!!! Check in was quite abrupt and you had to sign pages to get a room I personally don’t like bedrooms in the middle of the space with no air or light
Location pretty central for Melbourne and across from tram line and a park Room was large and comfy bed Fabulous shower

AustraliaThe staff were fantastic. They accommodated my request for an early check in. There is a Jazz venue in the basement under the hotel. I was given a complimentary ticket and had a really enjoyable evening having dinner and listening to great jazz. Melbourne at its best.

Good location, public transport a few steps away and a nice walk to the main train station. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores close by. Nice to have washer and dryer in the unit. Good size balcony with amazing view.

AustraliaVery happy, unfortunately our evening meal at the Jazz Bistro was poor.
Having a separate one bedroom apartment is a great idea .It enabled us to close the doors for the person who wanted some more sleep.Plus two big TV’s.

AustraliaBathroom toilet space small, not for those with a disability. No kitchen equipment if you wanted to use the stove, oven or microwave. Washing machine still had a load in it when we arrived, cleaning cloths and mop head!!. Someone just walked in the next morning at 7am to collect. Had to ask for tea, coffee, sugar etc to be restocked twice. 3 small hard chairs to sit on. Good if you like firm and straight back. Prior to arrival I had booked an extra day's stay. The day before leaving, three different staff came at separate times enquiring why we were still there. Poor communication between reception and staff. We were locked out of our room that evening as they had expired the key. Both instances required a discussion with reception. No information pack in the room to welcome, advise or give phone numbers
Bed firm but comfortable. Good view. Able to open balcony door for fresh air. Good shower. Good kitchenette space. Washing machine/dryer combo. Good multiple lighting
