How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

One of the beds was broken 2xslats were broken, rusty soap/shampoo rack in the shower, horrible shower head with hardly any hot water, carpet was stained and in places it was torn and the leather on the couch was cracking. Completely unacceptable for the price! Will never stay there again!
The location was adequate to our needs.

The heater was difficult to get working. The spa didn’t work.
Location was great and the apartment was a great size for big families.

Have to drive to another location to retrieve the keys only to go to the apartment that hadn’t been cleaned from previous guests. Had to then return to said location to get another apartment which was way nicer. The password on the keys were wrong for the wifi x rang again to get the proper number for it to still not work x took over an hour to check in

Very noisy, close to the highway. Also our neighbours made loud noise even after 12am. The sound prove is bad. Kitchen lacks of bowls, knives and other kitchen compliance. Not very clean, we found used tissue and an old bad under the bed. Did not provide enough dishwasher tablets, sponges were used ones.
Very good location, close to everything.

The place was absolutely lovely and a great space for me and my guests. Great location and very spacious. But I really felt uncomfortable with the whole check in process and it has left me feeling very uncomfortable and would not go back. I understand they don't want parties and I did book for a bigger group so I understand the question but once I answered, it shouldn't have continually been asked and felt like I did. I just wanted a good night with my guests and we all felt very uncomfortable because of the interaction I had. It made us feel on edge the entire night and it did dampen our night a fair bit. I will not be back and won't reccomded this, I'm so sorry.
The place itself was great, spacious, lots of lovely rooms, beds were good. Great location and loved having enough car parks and an outdoor area.

No tray to use for cooking in the oven. Found out on arrival that the washing machine was broken.

Apartment had a spring bleach/mould smell and even with windows open it wouldn’t leave. Blinds were missing pieces so privacy was an issue. Toilet roll holders were all loose. No basics supplied for cooking eg: oil, salt, pepper. No recycle bin only rubbish bins. A bit steep in price for what you get.
Great size for a small family and location was good.

need to pick and drop off keys to a different location, it is close but would have preferred a drop box at the location itself! also some more good pans and spatulas would be good.
Property was very clean and in a great location. close from everything.

Window in bathroom upstairs didn't fully close so when heating came on during the night the doors banged a little.
Lots of space for the kids. Couch and Beds were comfortable. Good parking. Overall a very comfortable place to stay.

Shower room downstairs missing towel railing. Shower head needs replacing. Dinged on head as it needs adjustment and leaking. Garage door didn't open at all. Even manually. Back gate not very secure. Tv played up. Noisey loud neighbours made our stay less than ideal. Packed up early.
Location. Very roomy. Good size couch /tables etc.
