Lobby was inviting. Rooms were clean and well thought out: room to store suitcase under the cupboard, hooks in bathroom etc.

Restaurant staff were mixed, some relaxed and friendly, others stiff and uncomfortable. Many staff were hard to understand, English probably their second language. The shower badly designed so water leaked under the door and spread all over the bathroom floor.

Front desk staff were helpful, professional and friendly. Room was comfortable.

Saturday night the people staying in the room across from us were having a party. At 12.30am I rang reception 3 times but no one answered I walked down to reception and asked that they asked the people having the party to quiten down so we could sleep. Eventually they quietened down and we finally got some sleep

I booked two rooms which are connected. It is convenient for a big family. The rooms are wonderful. The double bed is very big and my little one really like it. The staff were very friendly and helpful, for example, when we asked for help in heating up some dishes using their microwave.

Unfortunately the housekeeping aspect of the room was poor. Our bathroom had not been cleaned properly when we checked in. There were toe nails on the floor and urine stains around the toilet. When we told reception they did organise getting it cleaned. The daily clean and room make up by the house keepers was really poor. They did not make the beds properly. They left pillows on the floor. They did not vacuum or clean anything. It was very surprising given the standard of the hotel. But sadly the cleaning aspect of it was extremely poor.

The hotel has a lot of history and heritage. It’s a great location with easy access to all the sites. It’s been renovated nicely and looks lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Old style hotel oozing character from the early days of Canberra. Public areas lovely and beautiful garden for an afternoon drink. Friendly staff especially Isabel on the front desk.

Despite booking for three persons (two adults and one 14yo) we were initially given a room with only two single beds. The concierge told us we should have requested an extra bed however it was quite self-explanatory through the booking that we required bedding for three. Thankfully the matter was remedied quickly and we were transferred to a suitable room. No streaming services available (eg Netflix) and our personal devices would not connect to the television.

Excellent location and staff. Room was also excellent, very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast. Internet connection good. Ample parking at hotel.

Parking was a bit confusing to start. Open air but next to the hotel but no security other than the hotel cameras

Location was excellent. Walking distance to Govt Departments and tourist spots. Bus stop close by. Restaruant was great with a range of meals encluding gluten free.

there is no choice of type of pillows, there is no douchebag in the toilet and means for cleaning the toilet bowl with an aerosol for the toilet.

The room could have done with a microwave. Resturant prices seemed pretty high.

We chose Kurrajong Hotel principally because of its location due to urgent business with the Colombian Embassy nearby. We had to drive up to Canberra from central Victoria to make a morning appointment next day. It was a perfect location for us on the next corner. Staff were excellent, courteous and helpful. Room ample size and comfortable bed. We loved the 1920s design of the whole place reflecting the .days of early Canberra.
