How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I had a bit of a trip because I was flooded where I live so no car. It's ideal for a car although not too far from the bus stop it was very hot weather it was close to the beach just a bus ride and a walk, but in hot weather waiting for a bus for 30-40 minutes in extreme heat is hard with a neighbour mowing the nature strip so hot & noisy.
There's no breakfast. You buy your food and take it here. Unfortunately, I was on a bus and foot so had a trip into town to buy groceries which meant I had to leave them behind so I could carry my luggage when I left. However, the host brought milk & margarine to me. There was an excellent coffee machine and fresh beans to grind for breakfast in the town house. There was a washing machine to wash the towels.

The parking lots on site were loose gravel which was a bit difficult to maneouvre the car on and I was parked in by people on the street in the morning (presumably other guests). Recommend parking on the street (but not blocking anyone in!) if you stay.
Communication from host was quick and very helpful. The provisions in the unit including a sanitising kit were great. Excellent location, just a short walk to the beach and shops. Beautiful leafy laneway to enter and the rooms are nicely appointed. Air con and fans kept it cool on a very hot day.

The host was really helpful. The apartment was a good size. Everything had been thought about: Appliances were modern, great coffee making facilities, plenty of power sockets, near enough to the beach, parking.

The property was in a great location, lovely quiet street and had everything you could possibly need from a comfortable bed to amazing wifi. The property owner goes the extra mile helping to inform on transport and provided extra tiny gestures such as putting the electric blanket on so we would be warm after arriving very late from our night at the women’s world cup and were aching and cold. The toiletries and selections of teas/coffees and drinks left for us also seem to be selected with that extra special care in mind. I am so grateful I found this property and made the effort to get out of the hectic city to this little piece of paradise. Thank you again, we will definitely be back.

Location fantastic - just a couple of mins walk to Cronulla beach, 1.8km to Points Bet Stadium (great for us as we were there to watch the football) and also close to many restaurants and cafes. The apartment was perfect with a full kitchen, bathroom, separate bedroom with a wonderfully comfortable bed, and lounge area. Heating at this time of the year was such a bonus - thank you! I'd recommend this over a hotel any day - it was our own little fully furnished apartment for the day! Communication with management was swift and easy.

The owner was amazing and responsive and best lovely to deal with, she even checked of we wanted the electric blankets turned on!The place was lovely and better than I was anticipating. Nice and very clean, bedding was lovely and fresh.

Appalling aircraft noise from first light to near midnight (or beyond). Stinking drain and dying cockroach on the bathroom floor as I arrived. A shower so small only a contortionist could use it easily. High, narrow steps to enter, with a door opening outwards; simply dangerous for anyone infirm. The list could be continued...
That sweet moment of departure (I gave up two days earlier than what I had paid for).

The property was overbooked and we could not stay. Despite having our booking confirmed and payment made, the property was not available. We had to seek alternative accommodation at our further expense on Xmas eve, and are awaiting full refund.
