How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

My family and I loved everything about this place. The photos were exactly as the place. The location and surrounds were perfect. The communication with the property agent was excellent. They were kind enough to let our young family check in early straight from the airport. They were understand and we felt welcome. Definitely will recommend this place to my family and friends.

The property is hard to fault , only thing we can think of is a jug to put water in the fridge would be handy.
Well equipped, clean, comfortable, the pool was good. Providing coffee pods was a nice bonus .

I noted that the toilet door was dusty as well as a few other surfaces but it’s a lot to clean. the mattress in the front room was saggy in the middle.
every thing! it was all we needed and more. loved it was close to the water. love tv in bedrooms! loved the kitchen appliances especially the dishwasher

There was very little to find fault with. The beds were a little soft for our liking. You had to open both cupboard doors under the kitchen sink to access the waste bin. Not quite enough toilet rolls provided. There was no hand wash provided at the bathroom sinks.
The villa was beautifully appointed and conveniently located for our purpose. There was a good selection of kitchen utensils for self catering. The gardens were lush and tropical.

Outside seating was not enough for amount of people staying only seating for 4 adults and there was 7 of us

It is such a beautiful and spacious house! Close to the beach, a large pool close-by, very nicely decorated and well equipped. We ha a wonderful stay and missed nothing!

Was hard to keep the kids away from the pool, they just loved it!
Beautiful villa, tastefully decorated with lush Balinese style garden courtyard. The beds were super comfortable, beautiful linen. Easily accommodated 8 guests. Would suit a quiet family or ladies getaway weekend. Moments from the beach and could hear the waves from the courtyard.

Everything was good
The location was great and quite nice for a relaxing time. The accommodation was just like the photo’s on the website. Beds were comfortable and we liked it was a secure property. Would recommend this property for anyone who wants to unwind and enjoy your holidays.

It has just asked me in the feedback what I thought of the breakfast, however no breakfast or breakfast items were provided. Not even milk. Very unusual for an AirBnB.
Location was beautiful, quite a drive from the Cairns CBD but if you are going because you want to be in those northern beaches area then you wont be disappointed. It was one of the only accomodations of its size which was perfect for us. Privacy and safety was amazing and double garage was a bonus. Hosts were fantastic and very accomodating. We forgot to write in the guest book but will be sure to stay again.

Perfect little villa. We had a total of 8 people and there was enough room for your own space. Perfect location, just a short walk down to the beach!

access to the complex no parking for guests inside the complex shared pool and barbie (not private as one would get impression from the listed features) noisy cockroaches frequent guests in the house
