This place was calm,quiet and serene. We loved our hosts, they were warm and friendly, quick to check on us and help around. Our kid loved running around the open space, feeding birds.Lyn has maintained the place clean, thoughtful about keeping tiny little things handy which you could often forget or runout during a trip. They have a fully equipped kitchen, if you decide to cook. Overall, I would love to go back to a known place that makes me feel calm and relaxed. Thanks Lyn & Joe.

My stay here was absolutely perfect. Lyn and Joe were fantastic hosts! Despite our late arrival, they warmly welcomed us and made us feel at home. Their exceptional friendliness and attention to cleanliness were evident throughout our stay. The thoughtful touches like the fruit, snacks, and breakfast they provided added to the enjoyment of our experience. Although we were in town for an event and unable to explore the area, we are already planning to return. Can't wait to come back and explore more!

Bit tight for parking a 4WD . Perhaps trim the bushes back a little? There is alternative parking for those more mobile than I am.

we found the lights a bit dim as we like to read, had a bit of trouble with accessing tv channel but Zelma helped with that

I am not complaining, just providing feedback here: when booking for this place, I didn't know that the kitchen would be outside. I would've preferred it to be inside as we were a bit hesitant to go to the kitchen late night.

The place really exceeded our expectations. During our 3-night stay here, we visited Puffing Billy Railway, Emerald Lake Park, Burkes Lookout, SkyHigh Mount Dandenong, Dandenong Ranges Botanic Garden, Olinda Playspace, Sherbrooke Falls, and Alfred Nicolas Memorial Garden - all of these locations were well within a 30 min drive from where we were staying. Besides being on the perfect location, the property itself was so very well maintained, including the garden with various kinds of flowers, multiple sitting areas, there was a swing sofa as well in the garden. The place was really peaceful and quiet, all we heard throughout our stay were birds chirping, esp. the laughing Kookaburras which really amazed us. The rooms inside were also extremely well maintained and nicely decorated, there was a lot of attention to detail, everything that we needed was already there, in fact much more, there were even toys and books for kids! The bathrooms were squeaky clean, with the best products including soaps, shampoos, even make up kits! Who does that? :D The kitchen had everything we needed, and more. The fridge had all the ingredients for breakfast. There were different types of teabags to choose from. There were also large garbage bins neatly set on one side of the kitchen. The bedrooms had their own bins as well. We briefly met the host when checking in, and when we were leaving after three days, she was really friendly and hospitable, she guided us about a lot of things to do around Emerald. Also, she was readily available when we texted her 2 days into our stay and needed help with something. If I visit Emerald or its surroundings again, this is definitely going to be the place I'll stay in. Thank you to the wonderful hosts, you made our stay really comfortable and much more enjoyable!

The place was incredible, it was so comfy and well decorated. The staff were extremely warm and welcoming. We enjoyed the breakfast, we were provided with more than we expected. They went above and beyond to create such a beautiful, serene place for us to get away and enjoy some peace away from bustling towns. This place and the lake included, provide perfect places for cute photos and the sunset views over here lake and trees was marvellous

Stairs to the apartment made dragging suitcase difficult and the internet/TV was patchy in Emerald. Not any fault of the hosts. Probably not suitable for very young children or people with ambulant disabilities.

Warm and comfortable. Lovely garden setting and everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Roomy under cover area for entertaining and cooking and plenty of breakfast provisions. Only about 38 mins drive to Belgrave where we rode on Puffing Billy.

The bed was too firm for our tastes, we both woke up sore and stiff. I also have mobility issues, so getting up the two sets of stairs was a challenge (couldn't tell our room would be upstairs until check in instructions were sent).

Beautiful property, upper rooms have a lovely view and I was very appreciative of the beauty products stored (I forgot my makeup remover)

The steepness of the steps leading onto property. We did know there would be stairs but it is a steep incline. But that is the area so really not much could be done

There really wasn't anything we didn't like. Maybe a bit pricey, but everywhere seems to be these days.
