Our room was a sunset balcony room but the trees in front of the balcony do not allow you to see the sunset. I wouldn't call it a sunset

Our room was beautiful, spacious, clean and very comfortable. Loved the fireplace in the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, half buffet and half à la carte. We also had a delicious dinner at Merlot. The food was amazing.

Restaurant has a lovely aspect. The staff work hard, although are limited by the staff to guest ratio. Dinner was tasty, but could have been hotter. Breakfast was ok, but service was delayed by nearby attendees at conference/s

Didnt mention on booking that Bar and Restaurant closed on sunday night.A bit disappointing.Although the lovely lady on reception did offer to book us a meal locally.

Upon entering the room we had to spray around 10 mosquitoes- maybe another chair in the room would be good.

First morning our Breakfast was very good but second morning wasn't as good the presentation and amount of food not as good...apparently staff shortage that morning contributed to this!

Our pillows had no support. We asked to have others if possible and were happy with alternative provided. Could hear furniture being moved from the upper level during the night. No privacy if sitting outside between rooms.

Staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was really good with options to suit everyone. Great location if wanting to go to Brown Brothers winery.

There is a little noise from the winery across the road through the night (trucks arriving etc) but with the balcony sliding door closed, it was absolutely fine. It didn’t bother us so it’s only an issue if you prefer fresh air through the night.

The room was very clean and comfortable with a lovely (shared) balcony overlooking the garden pond. Easy parking and fast free wifi. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We didn’t have time to stay for the included breakfast and on checkout the reception staff noticed this and kindly ensured we took some lovely pastries with us.

The soundproofing was not good. Noise from other guests in the hallway, next door room or outside on the lawn was clearly audible.

Breakfast was terrible. Bacon burnt to a crisp, scrambled eggs dry & hard, 1 tiny grilled vine tomato, baked beans missing. This was the Country breakfast on day 1. Day 2. No fruit platter, no bowls ( had my muesli on b&b plate. No muffins. Admittedly, they were full & busy, but waited 15 minutes for our order to be taken, then when I asked for more fruit to be brought out, was told we finis b’fast at 10am.

Staff mostly lovely and helpful. Bed very comfortable. Grounds well maintained.The bathroom was a disaster, as the floor floods from the shower. Only 2 plastic shower curtains, and no lip round shower. As we are elderly, it was very dangerous. Also, no vanity unit, just a handbasin. Nowhere to place your toiletries. Only mirror was in bathroom.
