We loved the deck and sitting there. But it did need a shade cloth or something as it was quite hot with no shade around

Location - beautiful surroundings - close to Lara, shops and Geelong. Friendly staff and very helpful. Clean and comfortable. Catered for the six of us to stay together in one cabin.

not clean - cockroaches- soap dispenser nearly empty / needs air con in main bedroom fan not enough No wardrobe in main but one in 2nd bedroom- mish mash of kitchen crockery/cutlery only 2 odd cups size cup/mug’s

We loved the location of Lara Lodge. We felt very relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful countryside around Lara Lodge. Our beds were comfortable and the shower set up was excellent to use. Netflix on the television was very easy to use also.

Arrived at night- sensor light not working. A rubbish skip was in the parking spot and was the view out the bedroom window. No milk. No Hand soap. Toilet roll with 3 sheets left on it . Bath room window left open with no fly wire which let mosquitoes in but luckily the various spiders and webs may have helped with that - winder on window faulty so had to assist it closed from the outside. No dish drainer or rack. Only 3 tea bags. 2 coffee sticks in a dirty container. Polished chrome fittings unfortunately showed that they weren’t cleaned.

Nothing, it was a pleasant stay and we will never forget how nice the owner was :)

The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful! Our flight to Sydney from Tullamarine got cancelled and we had a early international flight the next morning, so we had no choice but to book last minute tickets from Avalon airport. However, the flight was at 5am and no taxis were available - the owner kindly drove us to the airport making 2 trips for our family of 5 to the airport. The cabin we stayed in was clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend Lara Lodge to anyone wanting to stay around the area!

We were 4 people but the unit didn't cater for 4 people with utensils. There were a few cobwebs visible and some dirty marks on the walls. Overall, not bad but could do with some maintenance, cleaning; we expected a bit more for the price.

Very quiet and great spot on out of busy town.

Little things were missing, there were 4 of us. But only 3 forks, 1 dessert spoon, 1 chair for the dinner table, no dishcloth.

Floors and lounge suite needed dusting/vacuuming dust balls everywhere, working smoke detector rather than just a backing plate screwed to the ceiling would have been reassuring, 2 chairs for the breakfast table would be good, large patched holes in walls should have been painted over as should door jambs where worn timber present, should have been told we were right on a busy road with large volume of traffic starting at 5.00am and going late into night, a shelf or something in the shower to place shampoo etc would have been nice, effective light over door lock needed to find key hole, ride on mower starting at 10am sounding like it was coming into our cabin and going for an hour was not appreciated.

Nice outlook close to town and You Yangs, good TV and WiFi reception, large shower.

The location was perfect for us. Its an easy 25 min drive to the centre of Geelong, and 5 min from Lara which has everything you would need (supermarkets, resturants, petrol stations, ect). 5 min drive from YouYangs national park as well. The cabin we stayed in was very spacious.

I would like if there were some wine glasses supplied. And more glasses in general.

The place was modern clean bright and comfortable. The beds were comfortable. And the place was spacious. And quiet. We would stay here again.

I’d originally booked for three guests only two of us eventually stayed. The linen was poor no sheets and the third person was overlooked and my friend and l well it was assumed we were a couple although so the bedding was not supplied for the sofa bed and it was very dirty and didn’t have irons and other things like kitchen utensils etc….but rushed.
