Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting - everything required for comfort and practicality was available. It was perfect for my little labradoodle - she was safe and secure in the back yard.

A couple of very small things. The bathroom was joined to the bedroom and the double sliding doors (although lovely) did not provide very much (sound) privacy. A bit of a food/ cooking smell in the kitchen & lounge area.

The view was lovely. Little details....someone had pre-set everything in the fireplace ready to make a fire. Goodies in the fridge were much appreciated. We were surprised to find all the implements required to make a meal in the kitchen. All kinds of crockery & glassware, olive oil, pans, sharp knives, chopping boards, paper towels, spices etc. Lots of good, clean towels and blankets. Lots of spare wood and firelighters to make a fire. It felt very well considered. Everything was good quality & well kept. It felt very private. The owner was very responsive and very kindly allowed a late checkout which we appreciated a lot. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage with our dogs.The house was in a quiet location with a beautiful garden and and a very nice outlook over the bush.

I really liked that we were able to take our little poodles.The garden and outdoor spaces were very pleasant.The cottage had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.It was tastefully decorated.

Great getaway spot, nice and quiet and our three year old cavoodle loved having enclosed outdoor space to roam around. Close to the mineral springs and Daylesford township so we didn't have to go far at all. The house itself is modern and comfortable, it has everything we needed and more. It's the perfect place for one or two people to relax.

We had a fantastic and very relaxing stay at Locarno cottage. The outside space is wonderful, with somewhere peaceful to sit in the sun or shade at any time of the day. The cottage itself was clean and had everything you could need in the kitchen with helpful instructions on how to use everything and some thoughtful additions of wine and chocolate to indulge whilst you are there. Communication from the hosts was excellent - the only problem was that our stay was not long enough!

Everything was so lovely when we arrived. so clean, the fire was set up ready to go- plenty of fire wood to last our stay. Our black lab came with us and adored lying in front of the fire place on cold nights. Such a brilliant location too!

Little bit of dog hair on the couch. Not a huge deal but something for non-dog owners to keep in mind that it is a "dog friendly" house (though in general very, very clean)

There were lots of thoughtful touches - chocolates, a bottle of wine, well-stocked wood pile and kindling for all three days of our stay, milk and soft drinks in the fridge, friendly notes to help navigate appliances in the house, good assortment of coffee pods.. lots of creature comforts!

Location was great and the cottage is lovely. Very secure yard for my dog with gates to shut off areas if desired. Great to have a side entrance as steps at front were a little steep for my dog with arthritis. Loved side deck with wood fire, very quiet and relaxing. Cottage was very clean and I loved the Lindt chocolates and wine on arrival. Big bathroom with spa bath and french doors leading from bedroom to secluded front yard. Great to have a washing machine and dryer as one day was very wet so was good to be able to dry clothes as washing line isn't under cover. Would definitely return for another visit.

Locarno Cottage was absolutely perfect as were the hosts Anthony and Andrew. Anthony and Andrew were super attentive and ensured our stay ran smoothly. On arrival the place was immaculate. Walking inside to find a bottle of wine and chocolates was a nice welcoming touch. The bath salts, CD player, CD,s and stacked wood pile for the wood heater all made for a very relaxing getaway. Our little dog loved sniffing around the yard which was well enclosed so we were comfortable letting her roam around without having to worry she may escape. There were so many places to sit and enjoy the autumn scenery outside, from the stunning deck out the back, the balcony at the entry or down by the fire pit. This place was a gem and we will be back!
