How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Difficult to find the car spaces. Seemed to go around in circles. Great to have secure parking but need more explicit explanation of finding the car spaces.
Location was fantastic. Easy to walk to restaurants. Apartment was well equipped and the comfortable beds were great.

Amazing! Really enjoyed our stay here. Spacious, quiet and well appointed apartment only 2 minutes walk to the city centre. Comfy beds, great kitchen, secure parking.

Carpark was absolutely terrible to find. States tv had Netflix but when tried using it you needed to sign up. False advertisement

Only a small quibble as the apartment is great, but an extra lounge chair would be fabulous. There is only comfortable relaxed seating for 3 which is a bit annoying when 4 adults are staying. A small tub chair next to the lounge would have been very welcome.
This is a great little apartment in a fabulous location. Comfortable, quiet, very clean, modern. Good supply of glasses, crockery etc. Bottled water & milk in the fridge. 2 parking spots very welcome. Nice outdoor sitting area. Would definitely stay again.

Getting in and out of the underground parking was a bit difficult. Didn't realise that I needed to push the buttons on the fob to open the car park door. I was expecting it to have an RFID reader to swipe. Once you were in the car park itself it was not very well sign-posted and I found it quite difficult to find my car spot. The car-park complex was not well laid-out in my view and struggled to cope with modern size cars. Check-out procedure was also quite complicated and meant I had to find a park for my car on the street and then go back into the apartment to leave the key. Couldn't some kind of key drop-off box be set up?
Great quiet location within walking distance of lots of shops and eateries.

No instruction manual. Was told it was on Air BnB, however I booked through booking.com and couldn’t find the property on air BnB & therefore didn’t know where to dispose of the rubbish. Couldn’t connect to Netflix had to use our own account. No welcome gift as stated on booking (which isn’t a problem except the accommodation was expensive). Communication was confusing regarding the car parking.
The property was very nice, comfortable & clean. Location was excellent.

Our phones did not work in the apartment and we had to be in verandah to get some signal. Not a big deal as it gave us more time to visit without the distractions from phone calls.
The place is centrally located and a stones throw away from restaurants, shops and attractions. There was no hassle in getting to the carpark and unit. thanks to good instructions and comms from the host.

Bed is too soft in main bedroom and 2 single bed size is too small, it suits children not for adults. The instructions of looking for parking space was a little bit confusing. Under basement 2, in basement 3

There is only one key which serves for the garage entry, building entry, lift access and door entry. This is very inconvenient if there are more than one in the group doing different activities. It is important for the driver to be aware of the instructions for finding the car parking space. The places are not marked sequentially. If it were not for these two quibbles the accommodation was worth a full 10 score.

Bed configuration wasn’t attended as requested. Milk provided well past best before. Light from outside passage coming through crack in blind in back room making it difficult to sleep.
