How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Not sure if room was cleaned. Leftover food in fridge. Slept on top of bed because looked like a fresh stain on bottom sheet.

Pillows were to hard and high. Close to highway so some traffic noise.
Great location, close to the mall, next door to the Macquarie Inn. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was great included in the price

We were in a room off the pool area. The walkway to the front door was messy with leaps of leaves.
Bathroom was nice but didn’t have anywhere to put anything. Great to have breakfast included.

Little mix up at check in meant my room card wasn't activated - minor issue that was quickly resolved. Didn't appear to be an option for keeping recyclables separate from general rubbish.
Comfortable room. Friendly staff. Location on site with hotel was handy for food and relaxation. Nice gardens next door and shopping centre nearby.

I was very annoyed to not have a couch. Room was advertised with a couch. No couch. Made it very hard to get comfy to feed my baby. I couldn't sit on the bed to feed because everytime I leant against the wall the bed would slide away, the wheels need locks. Room was definitely smaller than the photos made it seem but it didn't really bother us. The TV in our room really needs to be fixed, half of the remote does not work even with fresh batteries which we had on hand.
Loved the shower, water pressure and the comfy bed. Super convenient location with the pub nextdoor. It was a quiet room, aside from traffic noise. Appreciate having a cot provided and blackout curtains that actually worked!

I didn’t take photos but Room 18, not very clean. Long black hair on the kitchen sink, cobwebs & dust behind the TV (while searching for the remote) Kitchen lady came & found it upside on the floor in the corner(she was lovely) Bad leak in shower wall.. Shower on, water out on floor..Not clean..Beds badly made, no “hospital corners” knot even tucked in..
The food was good, breakfast was really well done, staff were overall friendly & courteous.

The cleaning was very ordinary, edges around showere very gross. Dead cockroach and debris under vanity and around fridge on the floor . Quite dusty . The lighting was terrible, very difficult to put makeup on or even see well through the day. Room was dark

The spa bath could do with more attention when cleaning. The spa bath was the drawcard to book the room. Unfortunately, upon inspection, I decided to settle for the shower.
The spacious room. A bed that one sinks into (my preference is a soft mattress). Decent pillows to match the bed.

Bins in room not big enough to fit normal rubbish, water leaked from the shower screen base every time it was use so the shower screen may need to be reseated and not being able to reach reception overnight when we called as someone in our group has accidentally locked themselves out of their room in the middle of the night. A box of tissues would’ve been great in the room.
The size of the room was great. Housekeeping were great when they checked if we’d like a service and assisted with extra amenities we needed in the room.

Missing cutlery and crockery and washing liquid, but this was addressed as soon as we raised it. We were advised that they have a problem with theft from the rooms so deliberately keep the supplies low. To be clear, we had no issues with theft so presumably it’s guests that do the stealing. Could have done with more storage for clothing - possibly some shelves or drawers.

Breakfast food was nice but when we got there 8am there was not much food , no sausages, only a few rashers of beacon, no poached or fried eggs left just scrambled.
Room was spacious and pool was refreshing, meal in the hotel was nice and well priced.
