Very well appointed the bed and the room were very comfortable and we were 400m from Horseshoe bay.

Nothing at all! Everything was better than imagined so we were thrilled to return to our cozy abode each day.

Absolutely loved this place! It far exceeded our expectations and photos do not do it justice. Everything was impeccably clean, Deb was attentive, warm and a fabulous chef. The breakfasts were certainly a highlight! The room was so thoughtfully appointed and had everything you could possibly need. The location was fantastic and sits right between two bus stops, with the beach just being a short walk away. The backpackers next door offered a great happy hour and daily lorikeet feeding, which was a treat!

There was nothing we disliked! It is a 10 minute flat walk to Horseshoe Bay, only 2 blocks from the bus stop.

It was a wonderfully equipped en suite room, with microwave, coffee making equipment etc, enclosed by a verandah 2 sides, upstairs in a large Queenslander style house. It is in a lush tropical garden. We were able to sit on our own verandah to eat breakfast, even seeing wallabies in the vacant area next door. The breakfasts were superb with a wonderful choice. Deb is a very friendly and helpful hostess and went out of her way to make us comfortable and help us with our return journey to Townsville. We hope we will be able to return to stay there one day.

Loved my stay! The room was lovely, clean & quiet with everything you need. Short walk down to the beach. But the best part was Deb's hospitality - she was welcoming & helpful, even drove me to the ferry on check out because the weather was bad! And the breakfast was delicious, a hot breakfast selection at your door each morning. Thanks heaps, Deb!

Not sure I can honestly think of anything negative about our stay. Perhaps some pedals bikes would have been nice to borrow so we could ride to the beach and back.

We absolutely loved having so many options for breakfast. Jess being vego was very happy with the variety of choices. It was so nice to go and stay at an actual Bed and Breakfast, Airbnb has taken some of the charm away from many stays with self-serve breakfasts and often no interaction with the host. True North was a rare example of a true BnB, which was refreshing. The location was perfect, next to the Koala sanctuary and pub, and only a 5 minute walk from Horseshoe Bay. Would stay again.

The hot water was very hot and got burned from it. They waste so much water on their gardens with most of it running into the storm water. Yet they ask their guests to conserve it saying how precious water is on the Island.

Deb the host was very nice. The pool was nice and shaded so the water was nice and cool and relaxing after a days activities.
