Only complaint is that Stoke ignored an email I sent the following day, asking for a response to a simple question about payment. Some dude in my bed on arrival (not the fault in staff) & I had a tummy bug the following day (hadn’t eaten) again, potentially not the fault of stoke.

1. I wouldn't recommend it for light sleepers or those seeking relaxation. The hostel's common areas can be quite noisy, with loud music playing almost all day. During my stay, the noise persisted until well past 10 PM, making it feel like staying in a nightclub. However, if you're into socializing, this place would be perfect for you. 2. The bed spaces are cramped; even I, not particularly tall, kept bumping into the bunk above. Also, there's no air conditioning in the rooms, so it gets uncomfortably hot. 3. The shower areas aren't cleaned thoroughly, and there's a significant buildup of water in the shower stalls (water starts pooling as soon as you turn it on).

The location is perfect, just a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal, and it's very close to Manly Beach. At night, you can even hear the sound of waves crashing on the shore while you sleep. I really love their breakfast too; it's healthy, plentiful, and there are plenty of options. The communal kitchen facilities are decent, but it would be even better if they had more oil and seasoning options.

The “party” area it’s in the same place as the kitchen, and sometimes you don’t want to cook with loud music, and full of people drinking, etc. Also the shower sometimes wasn’t hot.

Booked a king room to try and have a private night to recover from an early flight, unfortunately the room was located next to the terrace with loud music until 11pm (when they close to prevent loud music going on for longer). It would have been nicer to be a bit further away as other parts were quieter.

Location was amazing, short walk to the ferry and beach, managed to find free parking aprox 8 mins walk away on the street. Friendly staff and a lovely breakfast included. It was quite busy in the kitchen so may need some more cutlery at breakfast. Lots of activities on offer which we didn’t get to try as only staying for one night

It is mostly occupied by long term, / working holiday people who are very cliquey and don’t mix. This can make it hard to socialise as they aren’t the most welcoming bunch. Although location and faculties are amazing, if you are on the second floor do not expect a decent nights sleep. You can hear everything from people in the bathroom to the kitchen, with people often in the hallways till late at night or making noise in the early hours. I was woken by the cleaners at 6.50 banging and crashing, shouting to each other and hitting the hoover up against the doors. It was extremely loud and very hard to get any sleep.

Amazing location and great facilities. Some of the best I’ve experienced at a hostel and always clean and no queuing!

Noise of hand dryer in the bathrooms carried into our room (we were next to it). No Air Conditioning. Had to pay separately for the stay and the security deposit.

3rd roommate was nice and polite. Breakfast was very complete. Showers had great water pressure. Mattresses were very comfortable.

It can get a little bit noisy but that really depends who is staying at the hostel so overall this was not a daily issue!

I was in a really nice and spacious room with access to a balcony. The hostel is only 5 min from the beach away and overall very clean. The breakfast is also very good!

The fan has a button that you have to push in at the back, this wasn't obvious to me so I roasted a few nights before someone told me how to work it. It's noisy and you don't sleep brilliantly, but I guess that is dorm life.

Clean, friendly staff, amazing location right by the beach and the corso. Free breakfast gets everyone out of bed. The cages under the bed provide secure storage.

We expected noise from the main area due to bar and the nature of the accommodation but one evening the door from there to the corridor kept being left open making it extremely loud in our bedroom My partner kept closing only for it to be opened again minutes later which was frustrating Worth noting though that place is obviously aimed more at backpackers / travellers whereas as we are on a long holiday this was just intended as a low cost stop for a few days so we wouldn’t naturally be the target audience :)

Staff were very friendly, didn’t catch the name of the guy that checked us in but he was super informative and helpful with any questions We had a private king room, bed was very big and comfortable We did have an issue at one point but staff were helpful and polite when resolving Location was excellent Bathrooms were clean and always a toilet / shower available when we needed despite being shared
