How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The shower tiles needed a good scrub and the shower rose could not be regulated. Towels had lots of pulled threads and needed replacing. The sofa had no support and the front board cut into your legs. We could not sit in it.
The room was reasonably clean and bed comfortable. It was just out of town on the main road, but we heard no noise.

I'm not sure how old the motel is but some aspects of the rooms are looking a little tired.I also find the TV too small not just in this motel but others as well. I think most of us have reasonably large TVs at home so 24" tv is hard to see.
Staff were very helpful. When I complained that the bed did not have an electric blanket as advertised (it was mid winter) they asked what time we would be going out for dinner and while we were out they fitted a new electric blanket to our bed. We had a very comfortable nights sleep as a result.

There was some smoking smell in the room but later the host sprayed air fresher in the room and then it was all good.
Good accomodation at a very convenient spot. The host was very welcoming.

The room was not very suited for the cold. Whilst the window provided a nice view, it meant that the cold came into the room quite easily. The doors had no protection from the outside so there was a cold draught on from both doors. However, the heater was powerful so made the room warm and the cold draught could only be felt when close to the door/window. The bed next to the window/door was quite cold, especially in the morning after the heating had been off for a while. The bathroom as well got cold. The linen was slightly outdated and the pillows were very flat so it is recommended to bring your own or double up. The wet room concept in the bathroom meant that the water went outside the shower area. There was no clothes horse/airer which would've been useful to dry our wet clothes from skiing.
The room served its purpose. We were there to ski so we did not spend too long in the room. Nevertheless, the beds were comfy enough for a goods nights sleep in preparation for a busy day. Everything was clean and satisfactory. The beds were warm and the extras in the bathroom including extra towels were lovely. The fridge, toaster, kettle and extras were also appreciated. The electric blankets were also great. Very easy check in and lovely scenery/courtyard outside our window. There was also housekeeping every day which was amazing to come back to after a busy day skiing.

Easy checkin, friendly staff. Clean spacious room with large comfortable bed. Perfect stopover on way to snowfields. Electric blanket appreciated. Clean bathroom with great hot shower

The shower had unsealed tiles and cracks and marks on the tiles that made it look dirty.
The price was good and the room size configuration was good.

the booking has provided false information for us. I book a 2 room apartment and 1 bedroom… 2 room apartment room end up having 2 queen bed and 2 single bed…. I felt like I wasted my money on an extra 1 bedroom…. that booking has falsely calculated for 5 people.

Beds are a bit old and stiff but not too bad. Water pressure in the showers is a little low and temperature goes up and down. It was clean although the silicone in the shower is a bit mouldy.
Staff were very welcoming. Plenty of car space. Close to town. Spacious rooms. 1 night minimum stay.

Bed was extremely hard and despite the cold only one blanket on the bed but there was a spare in the cupboard. Bathroom was freezing
Extremely quiet location - no noise from other guests and set back away from the main road. Effective split system heating. Large room. Comfortable and convenient for my one night stay.
