How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It's pricey. Could use a bigger fridge and a washing machine in the 2 bed room apartment
The staff were amazing. Ask maintenance to fix a small issue and it was done straight away. Helpful and lovely. Great location.

The evening dinner menu, not much gf or vegetarian food, very little fresh salad or vegetables.
The staff were excellent, the apartment spacious and the breakfast exceeded expectations.

We enjoyed everything about the hotel, so this is not a complaint, but it might have been nice to have some outdoor chairs on the balcony. This would have allowed us to enjoy an afternoon drink in the sunshine.
We loved the Mantra's location to the CBD, restaurants and public transport. Our room on the 7th floor was well maintained and very clean with a relaxed modern feel. We appreciated that the addition of a toaster, kettle and microwave. The staff were very friendly and especially helpful with providing guidance to key sightseeing destinations.

Kitchen facilities weren't great. We had a couple of toasters that kept shorting the power - power supply / ampage issue I think.

Some lift congestion made it tricky to leave when checking out; I had to wait four lifts before I could leave the floor.
The included breakfast was excellent. A great central location and friendly, helpful staff.

The price was very expensive for 5 nights, but it was over a public holiday weekend, with Womad and fringe happening, so hardly surprising.
Customer service on check-in (with Jordan I think?) was incredible, and every time we needed to go to service desk. Really above and beyond. With regards to the hotel/room itself, we loved that there was a laundry, the bedrooms were dark so we could all sleep in, and the location.

Booked the room that had a bath in the photos (to bathe my 1 year old), but when we got there, there was only a shower. The cutlery drawer with sharp knives was just above knee height.. low enough for a small toddler to reach.
Breakfast was excellent, staff friendly, and location was great

Bar and outlet closed too early.. needs to be open longer Gym.. no use at all. Get Reid of and make into another room. Organize a gym to work out with

High stools at 'kitchen bar table' worked well and lounge for TV is expected by most people but I would have appreciated a regular sitting chair in my 2 bedroom apartment. Taps need servicing: dripped because too hard to turn off & shower hot tap fell off several times. Floor lamp wobbled with a lean. Erratic room servicing over long stay: nothing (including bin emptying) for first few busy days (then excessive towel changing at end). The lifts and surrounds always seemed to need cleaning. Underground garage entry from street down steep narrow tunnel was difficult at both ends, with evidence of previous damage.
Well located for events at the Adelaide Festival and access to trams and major pedestrian shopping street. Excellent views for apartments overlooking Hindmarsh Square to the hills beyond. Reception staff well-trained and helpful Air conditioning effective and easy to control.

The doors bang really loud when people leave their rooms. A pool would have been awesome.

Good bed. Good and functional kitchenette in a 1 bed studio with balcony. Informed and proactive staff. Great location. Good breakfast. Good fare from the restaurant.

Asked for a shallower pillow but were sent two bigger ones. Explained to the staff that we needed something as small as a child pillow but nothing further heard. Only squat stools to sit at at the desk. Restaurant used to be first rate now ordinary. Nothing open on Sunday night.
