Pleasant As Always But TV Issue

For the life of us, we couldn't get normal channels on the TV to work - it kept saying "No Signal". The receptionist had no clue how to help. We were able to mirror from our phones, so we watched Netflix and CNN that way.

We have stayed here often and have always found this to be an exceptional property at a fair price. We actually had a little balcony with chairs this time, so that was lovely.

Basic room, 1 teaspoon, no glasses for water, power points in very hard places to get to for charging, breakfast area in front reception just a bit weird.

Close to Vally, with on-site parking.

    A nice hotel

Some of the common parts of the hotel are a bit tired (scuffed paint in the hallway and on doors, stained carpets outside the lifts) - it'd be an easy and relatively cheap fix to keep these nice too. In terms of location, the immediate area is good - a leafy steet with some pretty heritage housing, but the wider area isn't so (it's a maze of really main roads with fast traffic that take a long time to get across) so walking elsewhere in Brisbane is a bit of a pain and Fortitude Valley centre isn't that great - lots of vacant shops, bit dirty etc. So I'm not sure if I'd stay again, just for that reason.

A nice hotel with really helpful, friendly staff. The rooms are modern, bathrooms are nice and the beds comfortable. It was a treat to have a small balcony too. If an easy walking area isn't important to you (it's still fairly central, so getting around by Uber would be relatively affordable) I'd 100% recommend the hotel.

Thin walls heard other guests come home late at night and could hear entire conversation (more than usual at hotels), some hair in sink from previous guest (guess it could have been missed, clean otherwise).

Convenient location, comfy room and bed, free on street parking outside after 6pm and before 8am.
