The apartment far exceeded my expectations. The kitchen was stocked with variety of herbs and spices, numerous cooking equipment, cutlery and crockery and there was abundant tea and coffee supplies. Lovely touch was a 2 litre fresh milk, long life milk, packet of Tim tam chocolate biscuits and a large jug of cold water in the fridge. Air conditioning and ceiling fans worked extremely well. Hot water was always hot Bed very comfortable Lot of hanging and shelf space for clothes and could store suitcases in the walk in wardrobe in the main bedroom. It is the best apartment I have stayed in. Short drive to apartment from Darwin Wharf. Short walk to Woolworths and a couple of cafes and restaurants There is a tax rank at Woolworths Bus travel for people with Commonwealth Health Card is free. Bus stop to Mindil Markets was a short walk from apartment, was a quick trip and no problems with the return journey. Mindil Markets is a must see and lots of merchandise and varieties of different foods available. Check the months, days and times open during the year. We visited on the last Thursday in May and it opened from 4pm. It was a family friendly market. Narelle very kindly allowed us to store our luggage in the apartment because we disembarked from the cruise ship at 10.00 am. Would be good to supply at least two additional blankets. Could include a high pressure shower head in the main bedroom bathroom as the Darwin climate means washing hair daily and the rainwater shower has extremely low pressure so takes a long time to remove shampoo and conditioner from hair. A better system for key handover would be a lock box. I would not hesitate to stay again and highly recommend a stay with Narelle our lovely host.

Our host was delightful, informative and very helpful. This central apartment had everything we needed. Air con in bedrooms, coffee machine, washing machine, secure parking, internet TV and WiFi, plenty of glasses, plates and cooking facilities, books to read, two bathrooms and a nice neighbour as well.

Narelle is the perfect host and was there to welcome us at the property, as agreed. She couldn't have been more helpful if she tried. The apartment is well appointed and perfect for 2 singles or 2 couples. We were 2 singles travelling for work and the location and facilities were exactly what we wanted. The place is completely secure, including undercover private carparking, is spotless, and had everything we needed for a very comfortable 5 night stay. The location is perfect for getting around Darwin city on foot, or for quick access out of town. Overall, I would highly recommend Mauna Loa and will definitely try to book it again in future. Exceptionally well designed and well maintained property. Property had all possible amenities that you can think of in a service apartment. Everything was in working condition and worked perfectly fine. This property is like home away from home. Property is in the city and is very close to all the popular attractions in Darwin. There is also a beautiful pool which one can make use of anytime. Kitchen is fully equipped with stove top, utensils/cutleries, spices, tea/coffee items, microwave and everything else that you would have in a fully functional kitchen. Lots of options if you are a tea or coffee lover. Bedrooms were quite neat and tidy and quite comfortable to sleep, with built in large wardrobes and also an ensuite for one of the rooms. Toilets had all the amenities, including washing machine. All the rooms are equipped with split air conditioners and fans. If you want to spend some time in the property, there are lots of board games which you play with :). Best part about the house was the availability of room fresheners and candles, which gives you a feel of the spa as soon as you enter the room. Great service provided by Narelle and kept us well informed and stayed connected through out our stay. Narelle was also kind enough to come to the Darwin airport in the middle of night to hand over the keys and to provide us all the information about the property and how we can make the best use of our stay. Hospitality provided by Narelle was amazing and we will keep staying at this place whenever we come to Darwin. Another great aspect about the property is its close proximity to the best restaurants and eateries and some of them are open 24/7.

Czech RepublicVery noisy locality and neighbours, the pool is no use,very tiny something between parking lot and noisy street. The same for the balcony. The host behaved attrociously too,lied to me and shouted at me when I asked if she could call taxi for me. looks much better in the pictures. Very expensive for what it is.Certainly not a place to relax and the host not someone who deserves our money.
