Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

AustraliaWifi in conference area was not good - probably due to brickwork / location. They should look at a wifi extender to boost the signal. In my room they need to change the bathroom door to face the other way, so it doesn't open onto the vanity, which is annoying.
Room was clean, pillows and bed were very comfortable. Towels were lovely too. Room was made up when I came back (though a little late one day). Staff were great and very accommodating - even assisted me locating somewhere to purchase a cable I had forgotten.

The room is a bit small and a liitle outdated. There was no bathtub., the bar and coffee area is too small. However, the facilities were amazing. The pool and jacuzzi are clean and really well designed ~It is comfortable that my kids enjoyed it a lot. The towels and the shower area were also clean and fresh. But disappointed that there was no steam room, which I always looked out for when in a hotel. The gym is average. The breakfast was remarkable! It is definitely an 5-star hotel breakfast trademark and I was not disappoint. The unlimited barista coffees and freshly squeezed veggies and fruit juices made me happy.

AustraliaBed was two singles together, so a quilt was placed over the join, bed sheets were too small to did not tuck in so mattress was showing and then the sheet stopped 3/4 down the bed so would end up 1/2 way up the bed by the morning. Gym was above out room so woke up to people on the treadmill thumping at 5am and weights being dropped on the floor at 7am - ok if it was an upgraded city view room which we paid extra for.

New CaledoniaThe bathrooms are disappointing. There is no bathtub. The pressure of the water is not strong enough. The system to change the form of the water is failing, the button is very hard and doesn't work well. The second time, when we came back and changed rooms, the shower was worse ! When the water was opened, there was a horrible noise ! The direction of the hotel should change all the system of showers.
The architecture of Intercontinental hotel of Melbourne is original. Outside, the building is very beautiful. The rooms are very quiet, the beds are very comfortable. The bar in the room is well stocked. The buffet breakfast is excellent and varied. But unfortunately the bathroom doesn't reflect the brand image or a five stars hotel, mainly the shower. And there is no bathtub, what a pity !
