Even though the hotel restaurant meals were delicious we felt that they were rather pricy for what you actually received on your plate Same comment applies to the room dining

- Domestic staff were attentive to our needs - We were given a free upgrade to our room - We received complimentary champagne and sweets with a delightful card as it was our wedding anniversary - The concierge was most helpful in taking care of or bags while we went for a wander in the morning even though we had officially checked out of the hotel - Sauna, spa and sauna were enjoyable...did not use the gym but it was well equipped

The room could of been a bit tidier and the shower a bit easier to use - the hand section didn't work at all.

Wifi in conference area was not good - probably due to brickwork / location. They should look at a wifi extender to boost the signal. In my room they need to change the bathroom door to face the other way, so it doesn't open onto the vanity, which is annoying.

Room was clean, pillows and bed were very comfortable. Towels were lovely too. Room was made up when I came back (though a little late one day). Staff were great and very accommodating - even assisted me locating somewhere to purchase a cable I had forgotten.

The bar and coffee area needs to be a liitle bit roomy. and could have been better if there is a bath tub.

The room is a bit small and a liitle outdated. There was no bathtub., the bar and coffee area is too small. However, the facilities were amazing. The pool and jacuzzi are clean and really well designed ~It is comfortable that my kids enjoyed it a lot. The towels and the shower area were also clean and fresh. But disappointed that there was no steam room, which I always looked out for when in a hotel. The gym is average. The breakfast was remarkable! It is definitely an 5-star hotel breakfast trademark and I was not disappoint. The unlimited barista coffees and freshly squeezed veggies and fruit juices made me happy.

The pool was small and not in a very nice area.

Great breakfast, great location. Plus the room was really dark and quiet at night despite being right in the city. Also they let me check in early and get into my room early, which was really appreciated.

Bed was two singles together, so a quilt was placed over the join, bed sheets were too small to did not tuck in so mattress was showing and then the sheet stopped 3/4 down the bed so would end up 1/2 way up the bed by the morning. Gym was above out room so woke up to people on the treadmill thumping at 5am and weights being dropped on the floor at 7am - ok if it was an upgraded city view room which we paid extra for.

We booked connecting rooms but the hotel didn't open the connecting door for us in advance. Need to ask and wait.

The staff are very friendly, they took the initiative to help us take family photos.

The bathrooms are disappointing. There is no bathtub. The pressure of the water is not strong enough. The system to change the form of the water is failing, the button is very hard and doesn't work well. The second time, when we came back and changed rooms, the shower was worse ! When the water was opened, there was a horrible noise ! The direction of the hotel should change all the system of showers.

The architecture of Intercontinental hotel of Melbourne is original. Outside, the building is very beautiful. The rooms are very quiet, the beds are very comfortable. The bar in the room is well stocked. The buffet breakfast is excellent and varied. But unfortunately the bathroom doesn't reflect the brand image or a five stars hotel, mainly the shower. And there is no bathtub, what a pity !

Lots of street noise early in the morning. Would recommend the highest floor possible.

The location was away enough from the busy sections of CBD but still within a comfortable reach. The conversion of the hotel still left an old world charm. Staff were friendly & consistently diligent.

Unfortunately our TV did not work and was not fixed during our overnight stay. And whilst we arranged a late check out at 2 p.m to ensure a good sleepnin aftee NYE celebrations., we received phone calls at before midday which woke us up.

The hotel is beautiful, well presented, clean with comfortable bedding.
